Completed the main story of Assassin's Creed Origins today (still got the side missions and DLC to complete)

Only been playing it for a few days and quite enjoyed it once I got into it.

Gears of War 4

Was a great blast to play through this, but couldn't get over the short length and it seemed a tad rushed. I also found it didn't have much of its own identity it was all a throwback to the original trilogy.

Dead Space 3 (Xbox Series S (backward compatible))

I finished Dead Space 3 and although I'm glad I finished the series it was definitely a step down from the previous entries. A lot of the claustrophobic setting is gone losing the horror elements and the weapon crafting system is quite simply terrible. It seems as if it was created purely to garner micro-transactions but it really didn't work at all as a game mechanic.

The set pieces are still good, the action fun and the story decent enough but the convoluted weapons system and lack of horror elements made this final entry a somewhat disappointing one.

Also finished the Awakened DLC which was a lot more horror focused and a lot more interesting than the main game.

A Plague Tale: Innocence [XBOX SERIES X] - What an absolutely amazing game. If you haven't played it then I would highly recommend it. It's a story driven game set in the 1300's in France with stealth, puzzles and some combat. I thoroughly enjoyed my playthrough and the graphics are pure eye candy.

Cuphead

Can't believe I managed to finish this, was stuck on Mr Dice for two years and finally managed to get a good run and beat him, on the same day I eventually got the final boss' patterns down and finished it.

Overall an amazing game with lovely art style but not for the faint of heart.

Completed both Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Sniper Elite 5 this week.

Just finished the campaign in COD: Modern Warfare 2.

Quite short but mostly enjoyable though we have seen similar levels before.

This was a fun side scrolling action game. Plenty of action and short levels, another good short game to playthrough in one sitting. There is the option to try and get S-Rank on each level but I didn't bother with that.

I don't get much playing time anymore but I've been clearing some of my back catalogue lately.

Completed both Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Ghost Recon: Wildlands in the past few weeks.

Finally cleared off some other games in my back catalogue.

Completed The Division 2 and The Warlords of New York addon, and also completed Hitman 3.

Gives me some extra space to pre-install Forza Motorsport and Starfield.
