Hustle on Netflix this weekend. It is very good. Adam Sandler is great in it. I know less than nothing about basketball, but it's very enjoyable. Watching the end credits, it's a who's who of actual NBA basketball players/managers/commentators who took part in it. A real paean to basketball by Sandler.

American Assassin

Decent action film. The standout was Michael Keaton, that interrogation scene was sublime.

Harriet (2019)

Story of Harriet Tubman who escaped slavery then went on to become a member of the Underground Railway, helping to free hundreds of slaves. Not as hard hitting as similar films but wasn't bad.

That film prompted me to look up Harriet Tubman, what an incredible woman, and sad that not many people know who she was and what she did.

Watched Jackie Brown again for the first time since it came out as was available on Netflix. Brilliant. Great cast and up there as one of Tarantino's best.

I recently rewatched Jackie Brown too, low-key my favourite of Tarantino's movies before they became a little overblown.

Prisoners - a great film with Hugh Jackman and one of my fave actors Jake Gyllenhaal. First time watching

I wasn't aware of her story prior to the film. Certainly a tough lady who was dogged in her quest.

Road to Perdition, just the 20 years after its release , very good film

Adaptation from a Stephen King novella about a young boy's kinship with a reclusive billionaire and what transpires after he dies. It's a slow burner, and is a tense horror coming of age-drama. Although it's not really a horror. It's good - the main actor is superb
