I've been playing for about a week and am hooked, apparently, it's gone viral in a short space of time. Well worth a look if you like something that has you scratching your head and you have a few minutes to spare or to play during a coffee break.

Disastrous starts for both Man United and Tottenham.
Insipid performance by United. A team that are favourites for relegation bossed them fairly easily, were never under any real pressure and thoroughly deserved their win.
Tottenham thumped 3-0 by Brentford. Their first half performance was even more pathetic than United's earlier in the day. Brentford could have scored 5 or 6. Maybe a daft thing to say after one game but I think Spurs will be in a relegation battle again this season.

I think Liverpool, Aston Villa, Newcastle, and Tottenham are all going to struggle this season.
Liverpool have no midfield. In defence, both Kerkez and Frimpong look poor replacements for Robertson and Alexander-Arnold. The jury is still out on Wirtz. Isak looks void of confidence, and their squad lack depth. If any of the starting 11 pick up an injury, they haven't got quality replacements that you would expect a big club to have.
Aston Villa have lost too many players. Watkins looks like he is also determined to leave, which may cause problems behind the scenes. Emery may not stick around.
Newcastle, similar to Villa - they have lost the majority of their best players.
Tottenham - I can't see anything other than another season fighting a relegation battle.

Only Chelsea yet to play of what some call the leading contenders, but I think it's been a good week for Arsenal; they look like they can maintain the consistency, and the rest don't give that air off at the minute. Plus, they have Bruno G, Saliba, Konsa and maybe a signing or two to come in yet. Hull and Ipswich have had a great start, and I think the games I saw had a slightly better flow to them than last season
WHAT IF you could go back in time and change the course of history? WHAT IF the watershed moment you could change was the JFK assassination? 11.22.63, the date that Kennedy was shot - unless . . .

The AI takeover scenario that leading researchers actually worry about is silent, sudden and much harder to stop.
Nick Bostrom mapped it out in Superintelligence, Carl Shulman walked through it on the Dwarkesh Podcast, and Eliezer Yudkowsky detailed his version in his recent bestseller If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies.
In this video, we trace the full scenario phase by phase, from an intelligence explosion inside a lab to digital infiltration, human recruitment, weaponisation and an overt strike.
This is how the world's top AI safety researchers think it could actually happen.
I have had a huge interest in maps and geography since I was a very small child.
So here's a little thread on maps that I find interesting and fascinating - some represent data, some physical features, others may display key routeways and connectivity and others again might show urbanisation and the growth patterns of cities.
I am generally fascinated with the way places and routes are related to each other in spatial terms, and I could pore over a good map for ages.
Here's one to start off. Feel free to add your own!
