Not really heard very much about this but Colin Farrell recently opened up about his role as the Penguin in the upcoming sequel. He confirmed that fans can look forward to seeing him in a total of five scenes in the new film. So, the Penguin is back, and it sounds like he'll have a significant presence this time around!

Farrell also teased that the script for the sequel is "terrifying," hinting at a darker and more intense storyline. This has certainly piqued the interest of fans who loved the first film's gritty tone. It seems like the creative team is aiming to delve deeper into the character's complexities and the overall narrative.

With Farrell's incredible performance in the first instalment and "The Penguin" TV series, expectations are high for what he'll bring to the table this time.

Fictionalised account of the rise and fall of Vladislav Surkov, the man responsible not just for Putin, but for the dark arts of media manipulation. Paul Dano is a bit of a void in the lead role (perhaps deliberately), but Jude Law is terrific as Putin.

Based on the book of the same title by Giuliano da Empoli , which is an excellent read

Saw this last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thought it could have turned into a slog because of the run time but it flew by. The score is fantastic as is Ryan Gosling.

This is a fantastic movie.

They could have made at least 2 movies, if not 3, with how dense the book is in comparison. It is impressive how much they were able to keep in.

There is really only one major plot line missing, and it's not even missed, to be honest. The rest is just the book being able to develop things more slowly and deeply. Some of that is because you are in the perspective of Grace, and some is because the book just has more time to work with.

I really enjoyed it. Knew it would be similar to the Martian by trailer but didn't know it was actually connected to it somewhat. Sometimes a feel good movie works cause it's a feel good movie. I think they generally hit all the notes I'd want in this sort of movie. Gosling is great at playing likable characters

We watched Apex last night. I thought it was awful, as far as the premise goes, and yet oddly fascinating too. Theron, Bana and Egerton did a great job, and the scenery was amazing (Norway and Australia)

Agree. I don't like gory films. However, I absolutely love Eric Bana, who is so talented and has charisma. Charlize is also a good actress and quite stunning. The scenery was more than spectacular, but I really didn't enjoy it.

However, I did watch it until the end :D

I watched this last night. Very good film, great soundtrack too by Klaus Badelt.

It's pretty serious, no forced Marvel one liners, dark the way it should be.

One of the best films I've seen this year. Quite possibly Jesse Plemons' best so far, and Emma Stone continues to prove she is an otherworldly talent.

It's dark, it's funny, it's creepy, it's empathetic, it's shocking. It's Lanthimos!

I like anything a little bit different, and even though it was clear halfway through what the "twist" was, I still liked it.

Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons are excellent.

Very weird but not necessarily in a good way. The twist at the end was not telegraphed but expected.

Solid enough film but nothing special. OTT violence played for laughs - I saw it after watching the last episode of The Boys; they're similar in that respect.

It gets an extra star for the sequence that triggers the big finale.
