Saturday Night Live on American telly. Is it that I don't get it or is it really that bad?

It seems really popular but I've watched loads of clips of it and I've never once cracked a smile. I've heard this cowbell sketch was meant to be the best one, but jeez... awful rubbish.

Night Clubs

You are in the pub with a nice fuzzy buzz having had a great night. Then someone suggests go to a night club.

Place is packed, drink is £7 a pint. Barman hates you, bouncer hates you, other clubbers hate you.

Lose your coat (coat person hates you), lose wallet, lose phone, lose friends.

Taxi home goes some stupid way to rip you off.

You get home and feel awful next day and are too riddled to do anything and a perfectly good Saturday is wasted.

I never saw the attraction.

Couldn't agree more Best - I feel like my clubbing days are long over despite only being in my mid-30s, but even when I was younger I didn't see the appeal.

I'd much rather stay at the pub; good drinks, good company, and good banter.. ?

Piercings. I mean, getting a hole poked in your flesh, sometimes in a sensitive spot, just so you can hand some baubles on it? I still cringe a bit at getting poked for medical purposes, let alone purely aesthetic ones. But, hey, to each their own.

Selfies, particularly the very obviously filtered selfies on social media.

I know they are completely normalised now and believe me I am as vain as the next person and do like to be seen looking my best but they are beyond cringeworthy - advertise that you spend you free time photographing yourself trying various different angles / expressions, doctor the image it so you are unrecognisable then share it openly looking for compliments. Why not just tattoo 'needy' on your forehead?
