Is Erik Ten Hag's job on the line if they lose against Fulham this weekend?
Somehow they scrapped a win thanks to a Bruno Fernandes stoppage time goal. It could kick start their season or it could just be papering over the cracks. Fulham were the better team, imo.

The Newcastle v Arsenal game was full of controversy - not just the goal but a poor showing from the officials.

I think the goal should have been disallowed for either the push or ball going out of play (both were contentious), and Bruno Guimarães should have been sent off. I don't think Havertz challenge was a red card but it was reckless.

For the goal, the ball is certainly not conclusively out, not offside, no view, as for the push, possible, however Gabriel is stooping to flick the header back and away he's already diving forward (put in that position by his keeper) Joelinton is robust but ok in my opinion.

Both Havertz and Bruno Guimarães could have been red carded and had little complaint but again that is just my opinion.

The point of VAR, when used correctly, is to look for clear and obvious errors. It is not to look in forensic detail for potential infractions, since so much of football is subjective. When there is doubt, as there certainly was with this goal, the on field decision must be upheld. If the ref had disallowed the goal, it probably would have been disallowed after VAR's review.

The ball certainly did not go out, the keeper definitely flapped at it, Gordon was definitely not offside. Only the Joelinton challenge can be questioned, and the ref had decided it was not a foul. Two physical players, one ducking, the other about to land on the defender.

It was a goal and VAR didn't get it right OR wrong - all VAR is asked to do is look for a clear and obvious error - there wasn't evidence for this.

I do agree that both Havertz and Guimaraes were lucky to stay on the pitch.

The Premier League Key Incidents Review Panel had said the goal was the correct decision but but Havertz and Guimaraes should have been sent off.

What a game between Chelsea and Man City. Best game of football I've watched in a long time. Chelsea are beginning to play the kind of football that Pochettino was brought in to produce.

It still baffles me when City sold Cole Palmer. He proved again yesterday that he's a talent and has a huge future in the game.

Great game. Chelsea actually look better against the good teams.

Cole Palmer's decision-making and composure have been amazing to see. I'm glad he left City so we could see more of him.

Best game this season by far.

I think the rest of the league has to take notice now. Chelsea's style of chaos dominated Arsenal for over 80 minutes, unraveled Spurs for the win, and disrupted City's control. If they can get good run of 3-5 wins, they'll be right back in the top 4 discussion.

Chelsea and Man City could reportedly be RELEGATED from the Premier League if they are found guilty of breaking FFP rules, after Everton's 10 point deduction today.

After Everton's points deduction, do you think that Chelsea and Man City should also be punished? 🤔
