Personal terms are not expected to be a problem, given Pereira is thought to be keen on a move to Molineux and is excited by the quality of the squad.

The Portuguese and his backroom staff are vastly experienced having operated together in multiple countries and secured league titles at Porto, Olympiacos and Shanghai SIPG.

Pereira has built a strong reputation for his ability to handle big names and improve players, while he speaks multiple languages including very strong English.

This has been a very enjoyable festive season of football so far results wise. Great fun.

Man City are way closer than I'd expect though, 6pts off 2nd place when it seems like they've not been able to win in ages.

Everton have sacked Sean Dyche after almost 2 years of service to the club, with Jose Mourinho being linked as the heavy favourite for the job

I still think Dyche is a good manager and has done a fine job with a terrible squad. They might not be scoring but their defence has been great. I suspect the new manager will just have a weaker defence and minimal improvement up front, which will probably lead to a net negative.

According to social media, The Friedkin Group want David Moyes to replace Dyche.
