DDD literally couldn't miss tonight. 4 knockdowns in 5 rounds.
AJ was lucky not to get stopped earlier. He was saved by the bell twice.

The discussion kicks off with Joshua's shocking defeat to Dubois, where many fans express disbelief over his performance. Critics highlight Joshua's form since his losses to Usyk, suggesting that he appeared gun-shy, lacking the aggression needed in the ring. There is a palpable sense of anxiety among the commentators about Joshua's future in the sport, especially considering the multitude of knockdowns he suffered during the fight.12
As the conversation unfolds, opinions diverge on the implications of Joshua's performance. Some argue that this may signal the end of his career, emphasizing the need for him to reassess his approach or contemplate retirement. Others criticize the lack of urgency in his corner, feeling that they should have pulled him from such a one-sided contest earlier.34
The sentiment shifts slightly as fans begin to discuss potential next steps for Joshua. While some believe he may not have the skill set to reclaim his status, others hold out hope for a comeback. Dubois, credited for his impressive performance, raises questions about how Joshua will deal with future matchups against formidable opponents.56
"Dubios destroyed him there. That was a brilliant performance."
"Thought he was going to stage a comeback them ooof."
Overall, the thread reveals deep concerns regarding Joshua's boxing future. While Dubois is praised, Joshua's viability as a top contender remains in serious doubt. His next steps will likely determine his legacy and potential return to form.
Dubois came out like a man possessed. AJ was poor but I think that's because of how aggressive Dubois wasI'll hold my hands up, I'm no boxing expert. Was AJ shit last night, not arsed and Dubois got him in an off night? Or was Dubois class and went straight out to knack him?
Combination of a lot of things really. Dubois has always had incredible power but was put in against nobodies early in his career and spent his 15 fights demolishing tin cans when he really needed to be learning his craft - the first time he stepped up against Joyce he didn't really have anything in his arsenal other than go for the knockout, left himself wide open and got brutally picked off. He's had to rebuild, and whilst the potential was always there he never really looked comfortable or looked like he could step up to the elite level. AJ has never liked getting hit, going back to the Klitschko fight in 2017, and notably disappeared into his shell every time he's taken a shot since. He went through a prolonged period of looking incredibly gunshy after losing to Ruiz in 2019 up to knocking out Jermaine Franklin in 2023, but looked closer to his best in the 4 fights since, albeit against poorer opposition. I expected him to stay behind the jab, wait for Dubois to leave himself open - which he frequently does - and spark him. But Dubois came out like a train and rattled him very early on and he had no answer.I'll hold my hands up, I'm no boxing expert. Was AJ shit last night, not arsed and Dubois got him in an off night? Or was Dubois class and went straight out to knack him?
It was over in the first - AJ never recovered from that shot despite lasting a few more roundsI'll hold my hands up, I'm no boxing expert. Was AJ shit last night, not arsed and Dubois got him in an off night? Or was Dubois class and went straight out to knack him?
