Anthony Joshua Daniel Dubois fight loss future

The discussion kicks off with Joshua's shocking defeat to Dubois, where many fans express disbelief over his performance. Critics highlight Joshua's form since his losses to Usyk, suggesting that he appeared gun-shy, lacking the aggression needed in the ring. There is a palpable sense of anxiety among the commentators about Joshua's future in the sport, especially considering the multitude of knockdowns he suffered during the fight.12

As the conversation unfolds, opinions diverge on the implications of Joshua's performance. Some argue that this may signal the end of his career, emphasizing the need for him to reassess his approach or contemplate retirement. Others criticize the lack of urgency in his corner, feeling that they should have pulled him from such a one-sided contest earlier.34

The sentiment shifts slightly as fans begin to discuss potential next steps for Joshua. While some believe he may not have the skill set to reclaim his status, others hold out hope for a comeback. Dubois, credited for his impressive performance, raises questions about how Joshua will deal with future matchups against formidable opponents.56

"Dubios destroyed him there. That was a brilliant performance."

"Thought he was going to stage a comeback them ooof."

Just saw photos from Tyson Fury's training camp. Looks like he's sparring cruisers, not a bad idea.

Looks heavy though.

Usyk vs Fury 2 this weekend.

I thought Usyk beat him convincingly the first time regardless of the scorecards or Fury's opinion. The referee should have stopped the fight when Fury was out on his feet.

The money men really are backing Fury. All wanting the trilogy. Usyk has to hammer Fury to get the nod this time.

Fury should be more focused this time and I think he'll make his weight advantage count. I can't stand him though so I'd rather see Usyk win.

Fury gasses imo, was a high work rate for six rounds, Fury was excellent between 3-6 but started to slow.

It's hard work keeping up with Usyk as it's not just the punching but the feints, footwork, always moving, always flinching, always doing something. Brain has to work fast and that can drain you as well, it's all energy all the time.

Throw in Fury being a pisshead for half his career, carries loads of weight and had a few wars going into his late 30s. It can all catch up.

Usyk is older but has lived the life better.

I also felt Usyk did better in the clinch, Fury wanted to try and drain him but Usyk made him wrestle and I think he expensed more energy than he took away from Usyk. After that his hands dropped, and he stopped using his jab, fewer punches thrown, and was looking for rests.

Think it'll be more so today with Fury heavier. Can see Fury going on big from the off and trying to maul Usyk and get him out of there early, as it moves to second half if the fight (if it does) then Fury will tire more than fight one, and will be open to taking bigger shots as his defence will be worse, be slower and better easier to get inside off. Think he'll get stopped late if this is the case.

Great fight though, having multiple scenarios playing in your head and thinking either can win in any way always makes for a good fight.

I'm not liking how open the Saudis have been in wanting a Fury win. Think Usyk will have to clearly win 9 rounds if he has any hope of getting a decision tonight.

It's hard not to like Usyk.

No matter what happens here he is still one of the best fighters of this generation.
