Anthony Joshua Daniel Dubois fight loss future

The discussion kicks off with Joshua's shocking defeat to Dubois, where many fans express disbelief over his performance. Critics highlight Joshua's form since his losses to Usyk, suggesting that he appeared gun-shy, lacking the aggression needed in the ring. There is a palpable sense of anxiety among the commentators about Joshua's future in the sport, especially considering the multitude of knockdowns he suffered during the fight.12

As the conversation unfolds, opinions diverge on the implications of Joshua's performance. Some argue that this may signal the end of his career, emphasizing the need for him to reassess his approach or contemplate retirement. Others criticize the lack of urgency in his corner, feeling that they should have pulled him from such a one-sided contest earlier.34

The sentiment shifts slightly as fans begin to discuss potential next steps for Joshua. While some believe he may not have the skill set to reclaim his status, others hold out hope for a comeback. Dubois, credited for his impressive performance, raises questions about how Joshua will deal with future matchups against formidable opponents.56

"Dubios destroyed him there. That was a brilliant performance."

"Thought he was going to stage a comeback them ooof."

Cracking 9th round from Joshua, he dished out a lot of punishment in that round.

Good win that, got 9 rounds in as well but should have finished it in the 3rd. I don't know much about boxing rules but Pulev running away to his corner in the 3rd is an odd one!

Fair play to Pulev, he took some punishment.
He took some absolute bombs, the uppercut before the knockdown was brutal.

Cracking performance from AJ there. Saw a bit of the old aggressive him there.

One of the problems I saw with Joshua at the weekend was how much he leaves his feet behind when he's throwing his combos and power punches together! You saw several times his back foot was so far away from the point of his lead hand, it's one of the reasons he can get caught and wobbled because he hasn't got his feet under him to absorb some of the punches he takes.

He was deadly in the third round and finished off Pulev with some devastating punches. Credit to Pulev for taking a lot of punishment although it did look as though he quit in the third round (shocking refereeing)

Just watched the Canelo v Smith fight and Canelo was outstanding. Smith has a fair way to go yet but it should be a great learning curve, he just couldn't get away from the jab and the body shots hurt him, not enough movement or ring craft but Canelo made the ring small from the first bell.

Got to be Saunders for Caneolo next - and probably another Brit taking a beating.

BJS gives him a hard night's work if he's at his best but I just can't see anyone beating Canelo now.

Saunders would win some rounds but doesn't have enough power and likes to take too many rounds off

It'd be extremely difficult for any fighter to go over there and get a decision anyway. They're a few rounds down before the first bell.

Who wins and how....

A prime Froch, Calzaghe, Kessler or Ward against Canelo

GGG v the same 4

All 8 fights would be either a war or high quality, if not both imo.

Ward and Calzaghe beat Canelo on points at Super Middleweight.

I think GGG could win wars with Froch and Kessler but would also struggle with Ward and Calzaghe.
