Judging by Christian Horner's reaction to the penalty Max received, I'm suspecting that they will take the engine penalty at this race.

Can't say I'm a fan of this grand prix. Leclerc gets the Ferrari engine update so that interesting and also Mercedes and Red Bull might play engine penalties roulette, that might be fun too, having those three at the back of the grid might make it fun.

Looks like a wet qualifying session and a dry race, the other way around would be more interesting. Is Leclerc definitely starting at the back?

Confirmed that Max Verstappen will start the Russian Grand Prix from the back of the grid after taking a new power unit before the race.

McLaren's Lando Norris took pole position in a thrilling rain-affected qualifying at the Russian Grand Prix.

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton was only fourth after crashing in the pit lane mid-way through the final sessions and then spinning on his final lap, as drivers risked slick tyres in the closing stages.
Ferrari's Carlos Sainz and Williams driver George Russell took advantage of Hamilton's error to vault into second and third places.

McLaren's Daniel Ricciardo took fifth ahead of Alpine's Fernando Alonso.

McLaren P1 and P5 after a double podium at the last race. It's great to see McLaren back to winning ways and being back to winning ways.

Enjoyed that, good results for the viewer. Should be a good grid tomorrow.

A good shake up going into tomorrow, the starts will be fascinating, Hamilton already P4 and he hasn't set the world alight this year getting off the grid, Ricciardo in P5 has already done him off the start last time in Monza. Looking forward to tomorrow now, action at the front middle and rear of the grid so should be plenty of overtaking.

Great race so far. Max was very lucky with that pass on Leclerc. Could have ended very badly.
