I've just signed up to Audible after completing a 3 month trial towards the end of last year.

Whats your thoughts on audio books? Do you have a favourite?

The narrator can make all the difference. I've listened to some books and had to abandon them because of the narrator. Always check out the reviews and listen to a sample if possible.

I have also listened to some where there is a cast. It was like listening to a play, very enjoyable.

I have had an Audible membership for a while now.

I've got a fair few books in my digital library and my favourite series is probably the Bernhardt Gunther series by the late Phillip Kerr. One things that does really make a difference is a good narrator. You can have a great book be completely destroyed by a really poor narrator.

Bonus is you can carry on doing stuff while listening

I have never warmed to listening to other people reading to me. Did enjoy Neil Gaiman's reading of his Norse Mythology but I love his voice and would probably listen to him reading a grocery list. Otherwise never really got into audio books.

I'm listening HG Wells War of the Worlds. Jeff Wayne's music version is a album I've listened to and loved for over the years, next it'll be the Orson Wells original radio broadcast that caused panic in America
