Man United have become an utter embarrassment not just in the Premier League but also the Champions League.

Coasting at 2-0 away to FC Copenhagen heading towards half-time they have Marcus Rashford sent-off on 42 minutes and go in 2-2 at the break. They then retake the lead through a dubious penalty only to concede twice in the last 10 minutes and lost the game 4-3. They are now bottom of their group with just 3 points from 4 games.
I've not seen any replays but I don't think Rashford should have been sent off.

I thought they played some of their best football this season, even when down to 10 men, but they keep finding ways to lose games.

Any sort of pressure and they crumble.

One of United's better performances this season turns out to be one of their worst results. If I was a supporter I would definitely take heart from the performance.

The referee and match officials were rubbish.

They will need to beat Galatasaray now and take something from Bayern to qualify but it is not beyond them even though the results and form suggest otherwise.

That was tough on Newcastle tonight.

No way that handball is a penalty after coming off his belly/chest first.

How many times do we have to see these ridiculous decisions ruin a game of football.

What a crazy game between Galatasaray and Man United. United twice led by a two goal margin but the game finished 3-3 and it leaves United bottom of their group needing to beat Bayern and hoping the Galatasaray v Copenhagen game finishes a draw.

For all the wrong reasons, United have been box office entertainment in Europe this season.

Man United will finish bottom of Group A as it stands at half-time in the final matches of the group stages!

Elsewhere, Arsenal finished off their group stage fixtures with a 1-1 draw in Eindhoven and progress as group winners with PSV finishing in 2nd spot. Lens drop into the Europa League and Sevilla are eliminated from European football this season.

United have about 20 minutes of European football left the way things now stand.

They trail Bayern 1-0 and Copenhagen are leading Galatasaray 1-0

That is an embarrassment for Man united. They should never be finishing bottom of a group that contains Copenhagen and Galatasaray.

They've spent a fortune under Ten Hag and bought nothing of value as far as I can see. None of his purchases have improved the team. I'd be surprised if he lasts much longer, tbh.

Holders Manchester City will play Copenhagen in the last 16 of the Champions League, while Arsenal face Porto.

Copenhagen, who finished above Manchester United in their group, reached the knockout stage for the first time since 2011.

The first legs take place on 13-14 or 20-21 February and the second on 5-6 or 12-13 March.

City and Arsenal are seeded, meaning they will play the second leg at home.

Record 14-time winners Real Madrid meet RB Leipzig, while Inter Milan - runners-up last season - play Atletico Madrid, and Bayern Munich face Lazio.

Arsenal vs Porto
Man City vs Copenhagen
Real Madrid vs Leipzig
PSV vs Borussia Dortmund
Inter Milan vs Atletico Madrid
Barcelona vs Napoli
PSG vs Real Sociedad
Bayern Munich vs Lazio

The weakest last 16 I can ever remember in a Champions League. Man City could retain the trophy this year.

There were expected wins for Man City, Real Madrid and PSG in the first legs of their Round of 16 ties but Bayern Munich lost 1-0 in Rome to Lazio and also had Dayot Upamecano sent off. The defeat piles more pressure on Thomas Tuchel ahead of the return legs.

Copenhagen 1 Man City 3
Leipzig 0 Real Madrid 1
Lazio 1 Bayern Munich 0
PSG 2 Real Sociedad 0
