Every office worker I've spoken to is absolutely loving it working from home and wishes this should be the way forward in future.

I've volunteered to come back into the office early. Problem is I just can't concentrate on work at home. Too many distractions be it housework, garden or Homes Under the Hammer

Office of 125 normally but only 10 of us in at the moment. Can wear jeans etc and can work away with earphones in. Trains are still very quiet.

Actually quite enjoying it.....as much as you can enjoy an office job in finance.

Active cases are continuing to rise in the UK.

Since the lockdown measures were eased I think everyone has abandoned social distancing, not just in the UK but there is a similar trend all over the world.

Germany has seen a surge in cases, reporting over 2000 a day.
France has seen a steady increase, as has Spain and countries like Croatia which is now on the quarantine list.

New Zealand has also seen a small increase compared to their figures over the past few months.

In the UK they will fine anyone organising illegal raves £10,000 - last week when the police tried to break one up they were pelted with missiles - that is the mentality of people, no regard for anyone bar themselves!!

Secondary school kids in Scotland will have to wear face coverings in corridors and communal areas from next week.

What has happened to prompt this? Why not just mandate it for the return to school?

Two deaths in Scotland in the past 24 hours. And 4 deaths from Covid-19 in the last week (where it has been mentioned on the death certificate).

It would be interesting to know if the deaths are related to any of the clusters we are experiencing at the moment. Sensitive question but it would give a bit perspective to the whole situation we are dealing with.

Almost 50 Texans drank bleach this month, poison center says

The North Texas Poison Center said it has received 46 calls related to people ingesting bleach since Aug. 1.

Health officials in North Texas are reminding people not to ingest disinfectants after seeing an uptick in the number of people who have consumed bleach over the past several weeks.

Several other states have reported an increase in people ingesting disinfectants in hopes that it will treat COVID-19. The Georgia Department of Public Health recently sent out an alert warning against consuming chlorine dioxide after receiving reports about residents using it to treat coronavirus.
