Brighton have put 3 past Southampton at St. Mary's.

I fear for Southampton for the rest of the season and think they are in real danger of being relegated.

Newcastle tearing Leicester apart at the King Power. Brilliant goal from Almiron which wouldn't look out of place in a Leo Messi collection montage.
Newcastle up to second in the league. They are right in the title race.

Four home team loses so far in the Boxing Day fixtures - if Villa loses too then I think all 5 of those teams will be in the relegation fight this season.

I tend to agree. I think Southampton, Crystal Palace and Everton are definitely in the relegation battle. Probably Leicester too though they have enough quality, it is Brandan Rodgers I'm not convinced by.

Villa I think pulled off a master stroke when they sacked Gerrard and brought in Unai Emery so I'd expect them to get enough positive results to be safe.

Big win for Wolves at Everton but they will still struggle

Emery is class. It is stupid how some media and fanbase view him just because he was polite and pronounced a few words wrong when addressing the media in English.

You don't win the Europa League as many times as he has unless you know what you are doing. Villa have a good squad so I'd expect him to guide them to safety.

Everton will be fine, they will sack Frank Lampard and get in a manager that knows what he's doing.

I think Southampton are doomed.

Forest and Bournemouth would be my other teams to get relegated.

Surely David Moyes must be living on borrowed time at West Ham?

The owners aren't known for having a great deal of patience and they have just lost again tonight at home to Brentford and are currently 17th in the table.

Moyes or Lampard will be sacked before the end of January.

Brentford beating another of the "big" boys today. Liverpool their latest victim.

In their last 4 league games, they have won against Man City 2-1 (A), drew with Tottenham 2-2 (H), beaten West Ham 2-0 (A) and beaten Liverpool 3-1 (H).

Surely Frank Lampard's time is up at Everton after that result?

He's a nice enough bloke but totally inept as a manager. Everton fans hounded out Koeman etc yet stuck by Frank because they all fell for the media narrative that he's a talented young manager.
