Terrible start for Man United and ten Hag.

Rashford was poor but so were Fernandes, McTominay, Fred and Ronaldo when he came on.

Man City's players are technically so good, but the effort they all put in to win the ball back or make runs off the ball to keep possession. Night and day difference with Man United players who appear to lack any effort.

I don't understand Martinez playing ahead of Varane. Maguire was awful last season but he's proven he can produce in the Premier League. Varane has won La Liga, Champions Leagues and the World Cup but is left out for a 5 foot 9 centre back who was good in The Netherlands?

I can remember them being 3-0 down at Spurs and coming back to win 5-3, but never 4-0 down at HT.
