Although Chelsea held talks with him, he was not the preferred candidate and he was never regarded as the favourite.

He is a good manager but this Chelsea project is a poisoned chalice. The squad is too big and the players are not that good anyway.

Forgetting about Arsenal and Man City for the title, a Southampton win here would make it probably the most exciting relegation battle for quite some time, bloody tight.

The defending for some of those goals vs Newcastle was criminal.

Im sure one goal was nothing more than a back to front longball. No one even touched the Newcastle player.

Players drifting infield past lazy challenges allowed to pop shots off under no pressure.

Conte may of thrown the players under the bus. But after a performance like that, hard to say Conte was in the wrong.
