The post raises relevant questions about planning a Disneyland trip, but it lacks detail that could make it more useful for others.

We are looking at potentially going to Disneyland in the summer. Covid permitting of course.

What is the best value way of doing this?

I know it will be more expensive in the summer but it would have to be during the school holidays

Is the one in Paris any good or is it worth going the whole hog and going Florida?

Go to be America if you want to do it properly. Disney parks are the best.

I've been to both the California and Florida parks, Florida twice (as a kid and taking my kid). Florida is massive now and you probably want at least a week there if you want to see everything. We stayed on site and there's a nice transportation network for ferrying you between the parks and the resorts/hotels. I have not seen Paris Disney (if I ever go to a Disney again, it will probably be Shanghai since my wife's family are there) but Walt Disney World in Florida is one of the most incredible entertainment facilities I have ever seen in terms of size and scope.

How old are the kids? Think I'd wait until things are more back to normal.

Paris is decent if the kids are younger.

Agree with everyone about Florida - it will cost more than Paris (obviously) but much better value all in all. If you do want to go for the Paris option, try booking it on their French website. You need to be able to speak (or at least understand) French, or have someone who does to make sure you know what you've booked, but you will save a fortune by booking your own Eurostar transport and your Disneyland Paris parks and hotel package on the French site.

Just been quoted £7800 for 14 nights hotel, 14 day Disney pass, 4 day universal pass, flights from Glasgow, transfers etc.

How does that sound?

Does the age of your kids matter, will they get the most out of it in Florida at say 3 year old?

Is that for 2 adults and 2 kids, Lisa?

Depends on which hotel and what dates.

They will have a slight memory of it but I'd say 3 is too young. 5 to 12 for Disney and peak would be 8 to 10.

Kids will love Florida at any age though maybe not get the full benefit and experience being so young.
