The tortoise shell I have came to me. She ran away from her house and found my yard. She was in good health, and you could tell she was a nursing mother. She had a collar with an address close to me, so I brought her back.
About a month later she showed up again, this time a bit skinnier, and still had her collar. So I brought her back again.
Then about three months later, she showed up yet again, skinnier yet, and without a collar. I did not bring her back this time.
Now the cat has a home where she obviously wanted to be. She is one of the most friendliest and sweetest cats I have ever owned. But she is an escape artist, she needs to be watching anytime you open a door or window.
