Five years on and still giving free content. That's how it's done!

This has been one of the best-supported games post-release. To still be adding fresh content 5 years later is a credit to Techland.

Techland has recently announced that Hellraid has also been delayed. It will now release on August 13th for PC and August 14th for Xbox One and PS4.

In a statement on Twitter, Techland revealed that it had received "tons of great feedback" during the DLC's beta. Since it's "hell-bent" on applying players' suggestions, it has delayed the mode to by a few weeks.

Prior to Dying Light 2's launch, Techland had announced the series' original instalment would eventually get upgraded for current-generation consoles. PlayStation players are able to enjoy this upgrade right now.

The original Dying Light has received its native PlayStation 5 support. According to the developers, the Xbox Series X/S upgrade is coming soon. This current-gen iteration offers three graphics modes that offer a similar level of choice to that of the PS5 and Series X versions of Dying Light 2, with the omission of ray-tracing.

Every player that owns the Standard Edition of Dying Light 1 will be automatically upgraded to the Enhanced Edition

Final update to Dying Light 1, considering the game came out in 2016 the devs have continued to support this game and are hopeful of the same for Dying Light 2. Should be across consoles and PC/Steam

As I said before, this has to be one of the best supported games ever.

In celebration of its tenth anniversary, Techland is releasing a free update titled Dying Light: Retouched today, June 26. This update aims to enhance the original Dying Light with improved audio and visual elements, but notably, it will not be available on the Nintendo Switch.

Techland's updates will include higher texture resolutions, better lighting, and an impressive 8K Ultra shadow quality, enhancing the game's overall visual fidelity. The audio experience also receives a boost with a remastered soundtrack and enhanced combat sound effects that promise a more engaging experience.

However, it's important to note that these enhancements are not a total remaster and may differ according to the platform. The exclusion of the Switch from this update is particularly disappointing, especially given its successful port of the game in 2021.
