Musk is now the most dangerous lunatic on the planet.

We quite rightly go after Russian troll farms so I'm unsure why not much has been made of Elon doing the exact same thing. He's even directly targeting UK politicians and our government.

Musk is an egomaniacal cunt. I look forward to the inevitable divorce with Donald. That'll be fun.

He has an agenda. And he didn't like the UK government calling him out for being a racist liar and his tweets during the riots in September.

The 'mission' in supporting various far-right outfits across Europe is the disintegration of the EU. Tech billionaires in particular don't like the regulatory regime, the consumer-focused stuff like data protection, right to be forgotten, cookie regulation, anti-monopoly stuff, threatened clampdowns on tax avoidance/offshore finance and so on. So there is a lot of power and money aimed at this project.

In this they find common cause with the likes of Russia/China whose opposition is more geopolitical, hence the involvement of bot farms and so on, uniting against a common enemy rather than necessarily ideologically matched.

What they want is global capitalism without the soft consumer protections that bodies like the EU and US federal government offer. Think how bad RyanAir would behave with less regulation, that is the sort of world they are after.

I don't really pay any attention to Elon Musk. He's a mega rich conspiracy nut who is friends with Putin and Donald Trump.

He's just doing what he's done for years, Tweet lies. It's just been ramped up to some insane level and he now owns the platform he's spreading his lies on.

Nothing for me to like about him in all honesty.

Why is he so obsessed with Britain? Genuine question.

I mean, he's supposed to be the richest man on earth, now also fully embedded with the Trump administration with a whole branch of government to run. Britain isn't even a major power so wtf is all his obsessing about Rotherham rape gangs and Starmer all about. It can't believe this is just some sentiment over his Nana.

Musk sometimes gets compared to Elizabeth Holmes, who similarly used an uncanny ability to blagg about herself to build a company worth billions, based on mostly the fiction that she knew what she was doing.

In the case of Holmes and her Thernos company, reality eventually came to get her (and the value of her shares) because the company had promised something that wasn't technically possible. She went from being a "genius" billionaire to being in jail for massive fraud.

Musk's products for the the most part are real, but are propped up with vapourware claims and Tesla itself hasn't released a successful new design in many years. The Cybertruck is by far one of the most failed consumer auto-products out there. Combined with multiple recalls, and the fact that the thing can never be street-legal in most countries, it is now also supplanting the BMW has the universal sign that the driver is a bellend.

The potential stagnation of Tesla is a massive problem for Musk because that has become his Thernos. Tesla stocks are so overinflated that they nearly eclipse the stock value of all other automakers in the world combined. All of that value is based on mostly meme-stock nonsense and the previous fiction that Musk had a clue about what he was doing. Musk borrows the value of those stocks to have money, and without those stocks, he becomes considerably poorer.

So I live in some hope when I see Tesla struggling. Should the value of that company collapse to what it's actually worth then Musk goes from being this Tony Stark wannabe to a very public and dramatic financial failure. The resulting fallout would take years, so he wouldn't disappear from our screens, but the more it would it go on the more the world would learn how Musk is little more than a failure and narcissist who at best once knew how to get lucky with other people's smarter ideas.

Elon Musk has announced he's stepping down from his role in the Trump administration, marking the end of his time leading the Department of Government Efficiency, or "Doge."

Appointed as a special government employee, Musk was limited to 130 days of service per year, a threshold he's now reached.

In a post on X, Musk thanked President Trump for the opportunity and said he believes the cost-cutting agency will continue to grow. His departure follows recent criticism of Trump's "big, beautiful" bill, which includes massive tax breaks and increased defence spending.
