After the game, Mourinho criticised Taylor, who officiated the match, for several decisions during the game that the Portuguese coach felt did not go his team's way, saying the referee "seemed Spanish to me".

A video later posted on social media and widely shared, appeared to show Mourinho in the car park at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, shouting towards the English referee.

He was seen shouting: "You were a f****** disgrace tonight. It is a disgrace."
