At least Macron has the balls to stand up and say America is gone, unlike Starmer who goes out of his way not to offend Trump.

This is just effing sad to see. Ukraine is slowly dying in real-time, in front of our eyes. Horrific from Trump and America, and shame on Europe for dragging it's heels.

Lavrov at it again:-

• An EU military contingent in Ukraine will mean "direct war" by European countries against Russia
• Russia will see the presence of an EU peacekeeping force in Russia the same as a Nato presence
• Macron's nuclear rhetoric is a threat against Russia
• Macron is aggressively continuing Napoleon's cause, masking his true intentions

It's a bit like a boxer being castigated for holding his gloves up to his face in an attempt to ward off blows. Apparently Russia would rather we all rolled over and let them attack with impunity.

Every day, we are seemingly getting closer to a full scale war. Russia has no interest in peace.

Quite clear that America blames Ukraine. Not sure how Ukraine will get a just and lasting peace with the US leading the negotiations.

Well see how things develop next Tuesday but I wouldn't be too optimistic if I was Ukrainian.

Steve Witkoff, whose brief is officially for the Middle East but has been involved in negotiations with Russia, has just said a meeting with Ukraine is in the works.

Hailing Volodymyr Zelenskyy's letter to Trump - sent after their disastrous meeting in the White House last week - as a "positive first step", he continued: "We are now in discussions to coordinate a meeting with the Ukrainians in Riyadh or even potentially Jeddah."

"The city is moving around a little bit, but it will be Saudi Arabia," he added.

Washington is trying to agree a framework for a peace agreement and an initial ceasefire for Ukraine, he said.

It is also ridiculous that the US openly talked to Zelensky's political opponents -Petro Poroshenko and Yulia Tymoshenko - although both said there should, rightfully, be no elections during the war.

Sir John Sawers, former head of MI6, who worked for the British government for more than 30 years, said Donald Trump's approach to the war in Ukraine has tilted the conflict in Russia's favour.

He added: "I think at some point the Americans will discover the obstacle to peace isn't Volodymyr Zelenskyy, it isn't the Ukrainians, it's Russian ambitions.

"And then we'll see how President Trump and his administration respond."

What we've seen over the past few weeks - such as the US voting alongside Russia at the UN - is unheard of until now, he added.

The US is "basically siding with invader" and "putting pressure on the victim".

But while the US is an "unpredictable" partner, he said it is not yet unreliable - and the UK must continue "talking" to them.

Everyone can see that except Trump, his Administration, and those that side with Russia.

So how many lives can be wiped out in the coming days as Putin starts bombing, and Trump is out there wanting a Nobel Peace prize for saving the biggest number of lives that the world has ever seen.

The USA clearly has blood on its hands and it will be crazy when they inevitably blame Zelensky

Finally, Trump has given a warning to Russia.

He has threatened further sanctions against Russia. That is based on the "fact" that Moscow us "pounding" Ukraine on the battlefield at present, he has written on Truth Social. He is threatening banking sanctions and tariffs until a "ceasefire" and a final peace settlement are reached.

The US president wrote: "To Russia and Ukraine, get to the table right now, before it is too late. Thank you!!!"



It doesn't correct the fact that he shouldn't have taken vital support away from Ukraine.

Finally, Trump has given a warning to Russia.

Now tonight, he is back to blaming Ukraine.

Ukraine has to "get on the ball and get the job done", Donald Trump says as he answers questions on the war.

Russia is "bombing the hell out of Ukraine... I'm finding it more difficult, frankly, to deal with Ukraine," he adds.

Russia has "all the cards", he says, and says it "may be easier" to deal with Moscow, despite their position.

Asked if he believes Vladimir Putin when he says he wants peace, Trump says "yeah... I believe him".

I'm guessing Vlad must have had him on speed dIal after his fake threat of sanctions on the motherland.

What an utter disgrace.

I hope Ukraine and Zelensky don't accept a terrible deal. If things aren't to their satisfaction on Tuesday they should tell America to get lost.
