It's enjoyable enough. My main issue is trying to believe that this fat, old bald guy is the most infamous bounty hunter in the galaxy. He also just seems too nice so far.

This version of Boba Fefta would probably have joined the rebellion. I can't imagine him working jobs for Darth Vader and Jabba.

I guess that's the issue when you turn a side villain into a main protagonist. He can't be a b*stard, especially not on Disney plus.

Yep, this Boba seems to bear little resemblance to the character we first saw in The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi.

But, saying that, the Tusken Raiders segment was maybe a closure for that Boba Fett. This is the redeemed Boba.

The show's problem is that rather than just make a Boba show, to begin with, they went and made The Mandalorian and gave him all of Bobas characteristics, ie. hardly ever speaks, never takes the helmet off. And thus they had to completely change Boba when they introduced him to contrast with The Mandalorian.

The show was also hamstrung by the way they set up the book of Boba Fett on The Mandalorian by having him kill Bib Fortuna and taking Jabba's throne immediately. The series should have seen Boba return to Tatooine and start doing jobs for the various competing crime lords competing over Jabba's turf. Have him use his smarts to set them against each other, weakening them so he can clean house and earn Jabba's throne and their respect by seasons end.

Once again Fennec Shand dominated the wee bit Fett was in. What's going on there?? #GirlPower?

I think Fennec is a more interesting character and a much better actor. A prequel show based on her could be interesting

Ming-Na Wen is 58 years old!! Unbelievable!

They could set it 30 years earlier and still have her in the role.

I theorised yesterday that TBOBF is maybe just a one-season show to help expand the Star Wars shows in general, but I really hope that doesn't mean it's the last we see of Fennec Shand. Does she split from Fett, do we actually get a Season 2 of TBOBF? Who knows.

If anything I think they should proceed with some type of Stories from Star Wars-type of show; smaller intersecting stories featuring different characters in different places crossing paths. They're introducing some great characters, hard to see how they'll keep just being shoe-horned into The Mandalorian and Ashoka Tano's shows.
