Everyone involved in the 2020 fake elector plot has been pardoned o_O

Donald Trump has pardoned his former personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani and dozens of other allies who stood accused of trying to overturn the result of the 2020 election.

He also pardoned his former White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, in a proclamation that vowed to "end a grave national injustice".

Others who benefited from the clemency were a number of so-called false electors, who were accused of trying to hijack the process to certify Joe Biden, a Democrat, as the winner of the election five years ago.

Trump's move is largely symbolic, however, since pardons only apply to federal crimes and all of the recipients were charged by state-level prosecutors only.

Remember the outrage when Biden pardoned his son.

House vote 427-1 in favour of releasing the files, which must be one of the most clear-cut votes in history outside of war (Clay Higgins was the sole No vote). Now we wait to see how Trump tries to delay further votes and release:

The US House of Representatives has voted 427-1 to compel the justice department to release files related to Jeffrey Epstein.

Trump is truly a cancer, I hope something turns up in the Epstein files or something else to get rid of him. He should be in Jail. Russia must have dirt on the guy, I've never seen an American President capitulate like he does. The decisions he is trying to take will have long term effects. Fecking detest him.

This Greenland thing is legitimately going to happen, isn't it? The noises coming out of Trump's inner circle
are more and more unashamedly "we are the biggest kid in the playground, we'll take what we want". Terrifying that we have another three years of this and feck knows what happens if we THEN have four years of Vance or similar (assuming American democracy survives long enough for the public even to have a say in the matter).

A senior U.S. official said discussions about ways to acquire Greenland are active in the Oval Office and that advisers are discussing a variety of options. Strong statements in support of Greenland from NATO leaders have not deterred Trump, the official said

The Trump administration is going on the offensive and directly attacking Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. I took a break from Sky News, but I have found myself watching it recently for some reason. That JD Vance guy is a complete creep. I believe nothing that comes out of his mouth. The USA is in real trouble.

Why are they talking about fraud when ICE killed a woman in cold blood yesterday?

On to the next stage now in Minnesota

U.S. President Donald Trump threatened on Thursday to invoke the Insurrection Act to deploy military forces in Minnesota after days of angry protests over a surge in immigration agents on the streets of Minneapolis.
Trump, a Republican, has been deriding the state's Democratic leaders and has called the Somali community in the area "garbage."

"If the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don't obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the Patriots of I.C.E., who are only trying to do their job, I will institute the INSURRECTION ACT," Trump wrote on social media, using an acronym for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

Meanwhile, Greenland has become host to Operation Arctic Endurance.

A 15-strong French military contingent has arrived in Greenland's capital Nuuk, as several European states send soldiers there as part of a so-called reconnaissance mission.

The deployment, which will also include personnel from Germany, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands and the UK, comes as US President Donald Trump continues to press his claim to the Arctic island, which is a semi-autonomous part of Denmark.

French President Emmanuel Macron said the initial contingent would be reinforced soon with "land, air, and sea assets".

Senior diplomat Olivier Poivre d'Arvor saw the mission as sending a strong political signal: "This is a first exercise... we'll show the US that Nato is present."

The movement of military personnel comes after Denmark and Greenland's foreign ministers travelled to Washington for a meeting with US Vice-President JD Vance on Wednesday.

Following the meeting, Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said while the talks were constructive, there remained a "fundamental disagreement" between the two sides and later criticised Trump's bid to buy Greenland.

The whole "We need Greenland for US national security" claim falls flat on its face when you consider that under the current US/Denmark treaties there is absolutely nothing stopping the US from increasing the complement of Pituffik Space Base back up to the 10,000+ who were stationed at Thule Air Force Base at its peak (Greenland's population is only c. 60,000).
