He's lost it. A tariff of 10%, rising to 25%, on several European countries

Hopefully, Greenland, Denmark, and the European countries have the balls to stand up to him.
I personally think that the affected countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland) should respond strongly.

I'm just not sure what measures would be best to get Trump back down, but we can't just sit on our hands and take this abuse from a bully.

So he's going to tax US importers and consumers in order to force foreign governments to change their policies?

He seems to live in the minute and clearly doesn't give a toss about anything that he has agreed to beforehand, let alone anything agreed by previous US governments (like treaties, etc.)

Might is right, so consistency, fact or actual truth is irrelevant if he is in the grip of some new whim. It's as though he has modelled himself on some gangster - or one he has seen in a film - and just wants to dominate. Aka bullying.

The one big plus from this is that we now have absolute clarity that Trump is not our friend, and we should stop pandering to him.

I cannot believe what I just heard on TV the news. Donald Trump wrote to the Norwegian Prime Minister stating that because he never awarded Trump the Nobel Peace Prize he he no longer has "an obligation to think purely of peace, although it will always be predominant".

The world needs to revise Donald Trump isn't a "friend", just this past week he has blamed Zelenskyy for the lack of a peace deal in Ukraine, talked about taking over a sovereign country and threatened tariffs on NATO allies who oppose this, and invited Putin to be part of his Gaza "peace board"

He's such a petulant child. Unfortunately, he's also in charge of a global super power.

Donald Trump wrote to the Norwegian Prime Minister stating that because he never awarded Trump the Nobel Peace Prize he he no longer has "an obligation to think purely of peace, although it will always be predominant".
This just shows how stupid and petulant he actually is.

If this weren't the President of the most powerful country on earth, it would be hilarious. But I lost the ability to laugh at this idiot a long time ago. Far as I'm concerned, it's straight up pathetic - not to mention insanely dangerous and volatile - because he's the President. A demented man-child with a vindictive streak a mile wide, throwing the world into chaos over this is, as far as I'm concerned, not in the least bit funny. Or surprising.
