Anthony Joshua Daniel Dubois fight loss future

The discussion kicks off with Joshua's shocking defeat to Dubois, where many fans express disbelief over his performance. Critics highlight Joshua's form since his losses to Usyk, suggesting that he appeared gun-shy, lacking the aggression needed in the ring. There is a palpable sense of anxiety among the commentators about Joshua's future in the sport, especially considering the multitude of knockdowns he suffered during the fight.12

As the conversation unfolds, opinions diverge on the implications of Joshua's performance. Some argue that this may signal the end of his career, emphasizing the need for him to reassess his approach or contemplate retirement. Others criticize the lack of urgency in his corner, feeling that they should have pulled him from such a one-sided contest earlier.34

The sentiment shifts slightly as fans begin to discuss potential next steps for Joshua. While some believe he may not have the skill set to reclaim his status, others hold out hope for a comeback. Dubois, credited for his impressive performance, raises questions about how Joshua will deal with future matchups against formidable opponents.56

"Dubios destroyed him there. That was a brilliant performance."

"Thought he was going to stage a comeback them ooof."

Usyk v Dubois 2 is set to take place at Wembley on July 19th

Daniel Dubois and Oleksandr Usyk will fight to become the undisputed world heavyweight champion at Wembley Stadium on 19 July.

Briton Dubois is the IBF champion, with Usyk holding the WBA (Super), WBO and WBC belts.

I'd be raging if I were Jospeh Parker but maybe he'll get a shot at undisputed. Perhaps worth a 6-9 months wait.

I enjoyed the Eubank v Benn fight. It was much better than I expected. Both are warriors. Amazing atmosphere. Glad both dads were there. Both fighters can be proud. Eubank is just so much bigger, although the dehydration clause probably hurt him.

Having watched his fight with Chris Eubank Jr back, Conor Benn had himself up by a point, but says he wouldn't have moaned about a point either way but felt the four points he was down on the judges' scorecards was harsh.

I can't argue with that, I think it was even through 10 rounds, but Eubank won the last 2, and that margin would have been a more realistic result. 4 rounds was harsh, imo.

Usyk v Dubois 2 is set to take place at Wembley on July 19th
Dubois is not beating Usyk. I know the last fight was a while ago now, but Usyk won almost every round. It would take a KO for DDD to win - which is not impossible by any stretch, but he's going to have to take big risks to get the win, and he'll just get caught with combinations repeatedly imo

Yeah, I thought Eubank won, but not by 4 points. Looking back, I probably had him winning by 2 points too, so level up until the last 2 rounds, which he clearly won. I thought he was going to knock Benn out towards the end of the last round, tbh.

I just caught the Eubank v Benn fight today; some lad at work had it on their laptop.

Personally, like others, I think the right man won, but not by that many rounds.

Does anyone think we'll ever see Joshua v Fury, or has that ship sailed now?

Does anyone think we'll ever see Joshua v Fury, or has that ship sailed now?
It is definitely well past its sell-by date in terms of its competitive peak, but it would still generate a stupid amount of money and fans want to see it. I'm not sure it will ever happen though.

Maybe if Dubois beats Usyk, then there is no need for a Usyk v Fury 3 fight, so Fury v Joshua would be a viable option. Right now, I believe Fury wants Usyk again.

I loved Ricky Hatton back in his heyday bu this won't end well.
Indeed. First Pacquiao, now Hatton. Both could end up getting really hurt.
