Anthony Joshua Daniel Dubois fight loss future

The discussion kicks off with Joshua's shocking defeat to Dubois, where many fans express disbelief over his performance. Critics highlight Joshua's form since his losses to Usyk, suggesting that he appeared gun-shy, lacking the aggression needed in the ring. There is a palpable sense of anxiety among the commentators about Joshua's future in the sport, especially considering the multitude of knockdowns he suffered during the fight.12

As the conversation unfolds, opinions diverge on the implications of Joshua's performance. Some argue that this may signal the end of his career, emphasizing the need for him to reassess his approach or contemplate retirement. Others criticize the lack of urgency in his corner, feeling that they should have pulled him from such a one-sided contest earlier.34

The sentiment shifts slightly as fans begin to discuss potential next steps for Joshua. While some believe he may not have the skill set to reclaim his status, others hold out hope for a comeback. Dubois, credited for his impressive performance, raises questions about how Joshua will deal with future matchups against formidable opponents.56

"Dubios destroyed him there. That was a brilliant performance."

"Thought he was going to stage a comeback them ooof."

Just watched the GGG vs Murata fight. A good win for GGG but he looked quite slow and didn't seem to be taking the Murara's shot (mainly body shots) like he took hits in the past. I don't think I want to see him fighting Canelo again - age is beginning to catch up with him now.

Also, I've been watching some 90's boxing videos and am I crazy for thinking that Gerald McClellan might well be a top 10 all-time talent? Astonishing punch power and speed. Like, holy shit good. It's a mystery to me how he had two losses on his record.

If he doesn't have that injury, he smokes Nigel Benn in 3 rounds, max. McClellan vs Roy Jones would have been one HELL of a fight.

He was plodding the first few rounds. Possibly ring rust as well as his age. He is still dangerous but I fear Canelo would destroy him at this point

No, I don't see him as that big a talent. A great puncher and yes, an excellent talent, but he was a huge middleweight who feasted on smaller guys. I don't think he would have more than a puncher's chance with Roy Jones personally. James Toney too, I think was a far superior talent who'd have taken him apart as well.

That all seems fair. Toney was a genius defensive boxer and Roy Jones was Roy Jones. They would probably be favourite against him. But still, McClellan's punching power was ridiculous. Check out this KO from him. One of the sickest I've ever seen.

The Spence fight was a lot of fun. Spence's stamina was unbelievable; never stops throwing. Got badly hurt in one of the rounds. I enjoyed it.

Hopefully we finally get the Crawford v Spence bout now.

Looking forward to the Fury vs Whyte fight tomorrow night.

Fury seems to be in good shape, my concern for him would have been a poor preparation, but it looks like he did focus and prepare well. He has physical advantages and is a better boxer too so it's hard to look past him. A Whyte win is not impossible, but a Fury one is far more likely. I'd go with a late stoppage.

Fury looks in great shape. Got to fancy him to have too much for Whyte.

Whyte opening with a Southpaw stance. Interesting.

Fury will wait a couple of rounds to suss this out

I hope the next 10 rounds aren't gonna be as bad as the first two.
