Anthony Joshua Daniel Dubois fight loss future

The discussion kicks off with Joshua's shocking defeat to Dubois, where many fans express disbelief over his performance. Critics highlight Joshua's form since his losses to Usyk, suggesting that he appeared gun-shy, lacking the aggression needed in the ring. There is a palpable sense of anxiety among the commentators about Joshua's future in the sport, especially considering the multitude of knockdowns he suffered during the fight.12

As the conversation unfolds, opinions diverge on the implications of Joshua's performance. Some argue that this may signal the end of his career, emphasizing the need for him to reassess his approach or contemplate retirement. Others criticize the lack of urgency in his corner, feeling that they should have pulled him from such a one-sided contest earlier.34

The sentiment shifts slightly as fans begin to discuss potential next steps for Joshua. While some believe he may not have the skill set to reclaim his status, others hold out hope for a comeback. Dubois, credited for his impressive performance, raises questions about how Joshua will deal with future matchups against formidable opponents.56

"Dubios destroyed him there. That was a brilliant performance."

"Thought he was going to stage a comeback them ooof."

Terence Crawford dominated Errol Spence on Saturday night, scoring three knockdowns and stopping Spence in the ninth round to become undisputed welterweight champion.

That was a massacre. An absolute clinic. He made an elite boxer look very ordinary and poor at times. Best in the world and one of the best of all time. This is the Bud Crawford era.
I couldn't see past Crawford but expected him to start slowly and take control in the second half. But that was just incredible.

I cannot find enough superlatives to describe Crawford, what a fighter. At times I was just shaking my head in the 4th & 5th round, utterly ludicrous boxing skills.

Spence is tight at the weight, however to take the amount of punishment he did, showed he's still one of the very best in the world.

This is what boxing needs to be.

An unbelievable performance from Crawford but what the hell were Spence's corner doing?!

Could, and probably should, have pulled him out any time after Round 6. Started to get pretty uncomfortable to watch IMO

Crawford just became the P4P Number 1 for me with that showing.

Think most people expected a close fight, all pundits and experts included.

Instead, Crawford did what Crawford does and just increased his level again so that he was never in any trouble in the fight.

One of the best performances I've seen. Worth staying up for! What's next for Crawford though realistically, challenge-wise?

I've never seen anything like that last night or for a long time at least. 60 percent of power punches landed 😳. His counter punching was ridiculous and that jab was ridiculous.

Crawford levels above Spence, a rematch is pointless. Mental to think he's been a world champion for almost a decade and never looked better.

Just watched it. Wow! Best I've seen.

Dillian Whyte has "returned adverse analytical findings" in a VADA drugs test and so the Anthony Joshua rematch on Aug 12th has been cancelled.

The Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (Vada) informed promoters Matchroom and boxing authorities of the test result.

"In light of this news, the fight will be cancelled and a full investigation will be conducted," said a Matchroom statement.

Joshua could still fight at London's O2 Arena if a new opponent can be found.

Looking likely it's Joshua vs Helenius and it has dropped from PPV!

Joshua knocks out Helenius in round 7.

Nice KO but christ that was a painful performance. I just don't fancy him against anyone good anymore. You could say he was boxing within himself, and that might be true.
