Anthony Joshua Daniel Dubois fight loss future

The discussion kicks off with Joshua's shocking defeat to Dubois, where many fans express disbelief over his performance. Critics highlight Joshua's form since his losses to Usyk, suggesting that he appeared gun-shy, lacking the aggression needed in the ring. There is a palpable sense of anxiety among the commentators about Joshua's future in the sport, especially considering the multitude of knockdowns he suffered during the fight.12

As the conversation unfolds, opinions diverge on the implications of Joshua's performance. Some argue that this may signal the end of his career, emphasizing the need for him to reassess his approach or contemplate retirement. Others criticize the lack of urgency in his corner, feeling that they should have pulled him from such a one-sided contest earlier.34

The sentiment shifts slightly as fans begin to discuss potential next steps for Joshua. While some believe he may not have the skill set to reclaim his status, others hold out hope for a comeback. Dubois, credited for his impressive performance, raises questions about how Joshua will deal with future matchups against formidable opponents.56

"Dubios destroyed him there. That was a brilliant performance."

"Thought he was going to stage a comeback them ooof."

Anyone watch Canelo vs Saunders?

BJS gave a good account of himself up to the stoppage. Crushing to finish on the stool, but it was the right decision if the reports of the orbital bone are true.

I can't see anyone beating Canelo. If he fights Caleb Plant he will destroy him and with it unify the division.
Good fight. Saunders became more confident as it went on. Correct decision to withdraw, you don't fight the like of Canelo with one eye, could end up doing irreversible harm.

Canelo clearly on another level than everyone one else. Just when he was in a bit in a bind, he found a way to finish. The undisputed pound for pound fighter right now.

Canelo has dynamite in his hands and breaking a man's face and making him quit pretty much ends all discussion.

Certainly looked like an orbital fracture how quickly it swelled up, such a shame as BJS was doing well. Unsurprisingly the scorecards were off.

Tyson Fury has been ordered to fight Deontay Wilder for a third time, casting doubt over a proposed August super fight with Anthony Joshua.

Fury, 32, won the WBC world heavyweight title from Wilder in a rematch in February 2020 after an initial draw.
The pair were due to fight again but delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic prompted Fury to seek an alternative.

On Monday a US judge ruled in mediation that Wilder has a right to face Fury for a third time before 15 September.

Fury vs Wilder 3 is set for July 24. Looks like Joshua could be fighting Usyk next as he's the WBO mandatory challenger. 50/50 at best that both Fury and Joshua win, and move on immediately.

Looking forward to Taylor v Ramirez tomorrow night. Two undefeated Champions going for all the marbles. Well worth getting up for!

Anthony Joshua has been ordered by the WBO to defend his championship against mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk in his next fight.

The WBO gave Joshua 48 hours, until Friday May 21, to salvage his fight with Fury or he would be ordered to face Usyk.

Well done Josh Taylor.
