Anthony Joshua Daniel Dubois fight loss future

The discussion kicks off with Joshua's shocking defeat to Dubois, where many fans express disbelief over his performance. Critics highlight Joshua's form since his losses to Usyk, suggesting that he appeared gun-shy, lacking the aggression needed in the ring. There is a palpable sense of anxiety among the commentators about Joshua's future in the sport, especially considering the multitude of knockdowns he suffered during the fight.12

As the conversation unfolds, opinions diverge on the implications of Joshua's performance. Some argue that this may signal the end of his career, emphasizing the need for him to reassess his approach or contemplate retirement. Others criticize the lack of urgency in his corner, feeling that they should have pulled him from such a one-sided contest earlier.34

The sentiment shifts slightly as fans begin to discuss potential next steps for Joshua. While some believe he may not have the skill set to reclaim his status, others hold out hope for a comeback. Dubois, credited for his impressive performance, raises questions about how Joshua will deal with future matchups against formidable opponents.56

"Dubios destroyed him there. That was a brilliant performance."

"Thought he was going to stage a comeback them ooof."

AJ should win this fight comfortably but it will be interesting to see how much damage those Usyk defeats have done to him both mentally and physically.
I thought Franklin was a lot better than he looks. Good chin. Not saying AJ looked great but don't think as bad as some are saying.

But he's a clear underdog against a Fury and even Joyce. I'd actually give Dubois a wild card chance in a shoot-out.

AJ had chance after chance to knock him down and couldn't.

For me a poor effort, he strolls into the ring and has no second gear.

Every shot he caught him with didn't move him, even the jab from AJ that got through time and again had zero effect.

Didn't watch it but all the reports point to a poor performance from Joshua and many are questioning whether he should continue fighting.

Joshua looks like a lad who'd rather be doing anything other than boxing.

I can't see him fighting Tyson Fury. I'm no Fury fan but he'd wipe the floor with the AJ that enters the ring now - a few years ago it may have been a different story.

British heavyweight Joe Joyce's world-title ambitions were derailed as he suffered a sixth-round technical knockout loss to China's Zhilei Zhang at London's Copper Box Arena.

Joyce, 37, was staggered several times and had no answer to Zhang's power as he suffered his first pro loss.

The ringside doctor twice inspected Joyce's swollen eye before the referee halted the contest in the sixth.

"I'm just disappointed with my performance," Joyce told BT Sport.

"The right hand he kept hitting me with... I couldn't get out of the way, so respect to Zhang.

"I expected to win like I normally do. Thanks for all the support and congratulations."

Not sure Joyce has anywhere to go from here at 37. He's not bothering anyone even close to world level despite all his shouting last week about fighting Fury, AJ or Wilder.

Superb performance from "Tank" Davis last night. He's a little savage.

Also, a massive shout to Garcia, he dared to be great against one of the very best when he didn't need to. Davis was tremendous though, the finishing punch was right on the liver, he is going to be hard to beat around 135.

Enjoyed the Canelo fight. Ryder was excellent in round 7. Can't argue with the decision but the scorecards were dubious again.

Canelo is going to get his arse handed to him by Bivol if he fights like that again. Had nothing in the second half of the fight.

Did anyone see the Usyk post that annoyed Fury, it's quite funny and explains his latest outbursts a little

One of Usyk's team said Fury must be skint too which was a good reply

His very personal remarks on Usyk's appearance are disgraceful. Behaving like a real low-life. Can't be bothered with Tyson Fury tbh.

Just watched the Lomachenko v Haney fight from the weekend.

Loma won that but not shocked at all when I heard the scores, I knew they were going Haney.

Haney looked lost in certain rounds, can't believe one judge had him by 4 rounds!
