Anthony Joshua Daniel Dubois fight loss future

The discussion kicks off with Joshua's shocking defeat to Dubois, where many fans express disbelief over his performance. Critics highlight Joshua's form since his losses to Usyk, suggesting that he appeared gun-shy, lacking the aggression needed in the ring. There is a palpable sense of anxiety among the commentators about Joshua's future in the sport, especially considering the multitude of knockdowns he suffered during the fight.12

As the conversation unfolds, opinions diverge on the implications of Joshua's performance. Some argue that this may signal the end of his career, emphasizing the need for him to reassess his approach or contemplate retirement. Others criticize the lack of urgency in his corner, feeling that they should have pulled him from such a one-sided contest earlier.34

The sentiment shifts slightly as fans begin to discuss potential next steps for Joshua. While some believe he may not have the skill set to reclaim his status, others hold out hope for a comeback. Dubois, credited for his impressive performance, raises questions about how Joshua will deal with future matchups against formidable opponents.56

"Dubios destroyed him there. That was a brilliant performance."

"Thought he was going to stage a comeback them ooof."

Hoping for a Bivol win this time. Love watching both of these so would be more than happy to see a third decider.
I don't think Beterbiev can knock Bivol out so you have to wonder if he could win a third fight?

Did anyone see the Tank Davis v Roach fight?

Davis voluntarily dropped to his knee in the ninth round of a scrappy affair with WBA super-featherweight champion Roach.

But the referee did not call it as a knockdown - and two judges later scored the contest 114-114, with a third giving it to Davis 115-113.

"If you voluntarily take a knee and the ref's not counting, that's a knockdown," Roach, 29, said. "If that's a knockdown, I win the fight."

After dropping to his knee - which did not follow a punch from Roach - Davis went to the ropes where his face was wiped by a towel.

Davis, 30, said later he had "just got my hair done two days ago" and grease that had been put in his hair "came into my face and it burned my eyes".

Ridiculous refereeing. It absolutely should have been counted as a knockdown against him, and the resulting 3-point swing cost Roach a life-changing win.

Never seen anything like it. "Robbed" doesn't even come close.

Usyk been ordered to fight Parker. Kind of glad about that actually. Would rather he gets a shot than Dubois.

Yeah likewise although I wouldn't begrudge the Dubois rematch. I think he has a pathway to victory at least whereas I can't see any way Parker wins to be honest.

I'm guessing that frees up the AJ rematch as well for DDD. Would rather see Kabayel get his shot but obviously, that's nowhere near the same payday so it won't happen.

Good 4 or 5 rounds at the end. A hard one to score but I think Yarde just edged it.

Yeah, Yarde was the better fighter in the 2nd half of the fight. I think 7-5 is probably fairer than the two 8-4's.

Correct decision though.
