Anthony Joshua Daniel Dubois fight loss future

The discussion kicks off with Joshua's shocking defeat to Dubois, where many fans express disbelief over his performance. Critics highlight Joshua's form since his losses to Usyk, suggesting that he appeared gun-shy, lacking the aggression needed in the ring. There is a palpable sense of anxiety among the commentators about Joshua's future in the sport, especially considering the multitude of knockdowns he suffered during the fight.12

As the conversation unfolds, opinions diverge on the implications of Joshua's performance. Some argue that this may signal the end of his career, emphasizing the need for him to reassess his approach or contemplate retirement. Others criticize the lack of urgency in his corner, feeling that they should have pulled him from such a one-sided contest earlier.34

The sentiment shifts slightly as fans begin to discuss potential next steps for Joshua. While some believe he may not have the skill set to reclaim his status, others hold out hope for a comeback. Dubois, credited for his impressive performance, raises questions about how Joshua will deal with future matchups against formidable opponents.56

"Dubios destroyed him there. That was a brilliant performance."

"Thought he was going to stage a comeback them ooof."

Hopefully, that's the end of the nonsense chat around Whyte. He rocked Joshua once 5 years ago before getting sparked and he's lived off it ever since. Touted as a potential world champion whilst struggling past Chisora and now he gets sparked by an old man who looked finished for 4 rounds.

Extracted the absolute maximum out of his ability but something like this has felt inevitable for a while now. Was wobbled by Helenius, was probably a few seconds away from being stopped by Parker when that fight ended, put down by Rivas and even Mariusz Wach was landing on him at will at times.

While I thought he would win last night as I thought Povetkin was finished I still think Whyte has made a very good living off the back of a bit trash-talking and landing a good dig on Joshua. If Whyte wins a world title though while Joshua and Fury are still active I will be absolutely shocked.

Just reading that Alan Minter died yesterday. He had three good fights with Kevin Finnegan. Won the world middleweight title. Think may have been robbed of Olympic gold as well. Sad news

A genuine world-class fighter in his pomp.

Unfortunately, he ran into Hagler, one of the greatest p4p fighters of all time.

Great boxer but too prone to cuts, unfortunately. Was taught a lesson by Hagler both in and out of the ring.

An astonishing performance tonight from Teofimo Lopez who beats Vasyl Lomachenko by Unanimous Decision to become the undisputed lightweight champion of the world.

It was a lot closer than the "questionable" scorecards suggested but Lopez is a deserved winner!

Lomachenko didn't really do anything in the first half of the fight.

Canny few weeks of boxing coming up.

Uysk to send Chisora into retirement on Halloween.

Lopez was the winner. Lomachenko didn't start fighting until about halfway through the fight. The judge's scorecards were ridiculous, once again Julie Lederman the main culprit - no way did Lopez win by 11 rounds to 1!!!

I would like to see Lomachenko retire now and Lopez will probably move up to 140lbs.

I had it 7-5 to Lopez but I think 2 rounds were close and I may have been trying to find a way to make it a Lomachenko round. I can't disagree with 9-3.

I was very disappointed with Lomachenko. He only started fighting in the 7th round.

What would his natural weight class be?

I watched it again in more peace/detail. 8-4 or 9-3 isn't a bad score. What I did notice was that Lopez wasn't all that difficult to hit; although maybe he wasn't really bothered due to the shots being quite weak. He was not bothered at all by Lomachenko's power (or lack of power at a higher weight class).
