The post provides some pertinent information but lacks clarity on transfer window specifics and context about the situation. A bit more detail and a clear structure would enhance its value to the community.

Barcelona signs Pjanic from Juventus for €60m plus €5m add ons. Barcelona then set his release clause at €400m.

So pretty much a near swap deal for Arthur.
What a dreadful transfer that is, selling a young talented midfielder and replacing him with a 30-year-old to add to the already ageing stable of Busquets, Vidal and Rakitic. Bar Suarez their transfer business has been shocking for years now.

Barcelona are in trouble, the squad is ageing, most importantly Messi is 33 and any big signings they have made have been flops. £400m spent on Dembele, Coutinho and Griezmann.

Read an article there yesterday which made the point they have spent around £800m on transfers since 2014 without really strengthening their starting XI, with Rakitic, Suarez and Ter Stegen being the last real reliable signings they made in 2014.

Haven't seen them much this year but I expected De Jong and Griezmann would come good, wouldn't rule them out yet but maybe someone who has watched them more could comment.

Barcelona are really going to hit a wall in a year or twos time with the age profile of their key players, I like Pjanic but he isn't exactly the solution to this problem.

Yeah, I read that in the The Athletic yesterday, it's crazy the money they've spent and most have been sold for a loss since.

2015 - 51m on Turan and Vidal
2016 - 125m on Gomes, Alacer, Umtiti, Digne, Cillessen and D.Suarez
2017 - 375m (sold Neymar for 222m) on Coutinho, Paulinho, Semedo, Mina, Delofeu and Marlon
2018 - 129m on Malcolm, Lenglet, Arthur, Vidal and Murillo
2019 - 273m on Griezmann, De Jong, Braithwaite, Neto, Firpo, Emerson and Cucurella

Just look at the list and think about the amount of them that are not even at the club any more. What a waste.

Thiago Alcantara to Liverpool is hotting up, seems an odd signing if true given we are stacked with midfielders but this would be one that gives them creativity in midfield. Still doesn't seem like an FSG/Klopp type signing at 29 though so probably just an agent trying to drum up his price.

Seems to be hit and miss for them. Cucurella was sold for £1.8m bought back for £3.6 and sold again for £9m.
Arthur made a big profit. Bought for £27m sold for £64m
Cillessen bought for £11m sold for £36m. Suarez bought for £2m sold for £11.6m. Mina had a £16m profit. Digne made £4m profit
Alcacer and Gomes both lost money, about £20 million all-in when including money made for loans.
Paulinho, Marlon, Malcolm and Delofeu came and went for same price.
Some clangers in there Song, Vermalean, Turan, Mathieu and Coutiniho.

Thiago would be nice but unless he's going on the cheap don't see why Liverpool would go for him?

It is an odd one but I do wonder if there's something genuine in this - Gini Wijnaldum is yet to sign a new deal, and perhaps its getting pieces lined up in case he doesn't sign/as a replacement. If Wijnaldum signs then I don't see it happening. Great player though and will be a top addition if there's any legs to this.

The international transfer window for Premier League clubs will open on July 27 and close on October 5, with an additional window running until October 16 for top-flight clubs to trade with EFL clubs.

The new dates were confirmed today, with the window opening the day after the rescheduled Premier League finishes a week on Sunday and running for 10 weeks, during which time clubs will be able to conduct domestic and international transfers. This appears certain to stay open after the new season kicks off as the 2020-21 Premier League campaign is expected to begin in September, with Saturday the 12th mentioned as a possible restart date in some quarters.

A domestic-only window will then run from October 5 until 5pm on October 16, during which time Premier League clubs will only be able to trade with EFL clubs. No transfers will be allowed to take place between Premier League clubs for this period. FIFA will have to approve the window.

Christian Eriksen could be on his way out of Internazionale just six months after joining the club from Tottenham Hotspur. The Mail, citing reports in Italy, suggests that the Nerazzurri are willing to listen to offers for the Denmark international after he has failed to impress under Antonio Conte at the San Siro.

Manchester City are keen to find a new defence partner to play alongside Aymeric Laporte next season, and Pep Guardiola is being linked with Kalidou Koulibaly and Raphael Varane. The Daily Star says that the City boss will have to spend £65m to take Koulibaly away from Napoli, where he has three years left on his contract in Naples.

And Manchester City are set to make their first big move in the transfer market of the summer after agreeing a deal with Valencia winger Ferran Torres, according to Eurosport. The 20-year-old is seen as the ideal replacement for Leroy Sane following the Germany international's departure for Bayern Munich two weeks ago.
