I jumped in for the Compass Box Orchard House on Amazon for £32.49 during Prime Day.

Delivered yesterday, not tried it yet
It's bloody lovely. I've already got a bottle open but bought another at that price too.

I just uncorked the An Cnoc 2009 vintage I picked up last year, so 12yo.

Can't remember what I paid for it but seems widely available now around £48.

A very nice dram indeed

I'm off to a cottage in Moray next weekend for 10 days, hoping to visit a few distilleries if let off the leash long enough.

I've been to Elgin before, loved the Gordon and MacPhail shop. Will visit that again. I did the Glen Moray tour, it was good, decent measures.

Any other recommendations?

We had an absolutely brilliant tour of Knockdhu (An Cnoc) a few years ago. Gordon Bruce took us round himself and was an absolute star. One of the best tours I've done purely down to the enthusiasm of Gordon.

I'm not sure if they have ever reopened tours after COVID though? It isn't too far away and well worth a visit if it's open.

Opened a bottle of Ardnamurchan last night, really good, even more so with it being quite young. It's quite viscous in the glass. Really easy to drink at a spicy 46.8, well worth seeking out while it's still a fair price

I was on an Ardnamurchan tasting in Tyndrum a few weeks back. Only 4 samples with 2 of them being mystery bottles.

Nice enough, but lacks a bit of oomph

A belated Happy Christmas to all the whisky enthusiasts here.

A good haul from all my family yesterday including the Ardnamurchan Madeira Cask, Glen Scotia 12 Seasonal Release, Laphroaigh 10 CS, Ledaig 18 and lastly another bottle Of Classic Laddie bought by nephew by saving his pocket money which always blows me away.
