The latest gameplay trailer for Toem 2 has been revealed, and wow, the game it looks just as charming as the first one! If you loved the original, you're in for a treat because this sequel is bringing some new vibes with a bit more 3D goodness.

The game keeps that lovely photography mechanic, which is seriously one of my favourite things. There's just something about wandering around and snapping pics that makes you feel connected to the world. And let's be real, photo modes in other games just don't hit the same!

During the Day of the Devs, we got to see some gameplay, and it looks like it's still that cosy adventure we loved, but with a bit more polish. The environments are now fully 3D, which makes everything feel alive in a different way compared to the first game. You're still out there capturing moments while unravelling a mysterious phenomenon that they're keeping under wraps for now.

Oh, and get this! The sequel introduces these adorable NPCs called "Friends". Each one has its own quirky little quest line. Once you finish their quests, they give you these tools like… scissors? Yup, scissors that cut things! Or a hammer, because why not? It's a bit unconventional for a photography game, but it looks like it's gonna add some fun interactions to the gameplay. Plus, now you can jump around and climb stuff — more ways to play outside of just taking pictures of gnomes!

No official release date yet, but it's expected to drop in 2026. You can already wishlist it on Steam
