The forum kicked off with discussions about significant transfer plans, including Manchester United's negotiations for Ederson and Arsenal's expected demands for Gabriel Jesus. Aside from player valuations, the impact of the World Cup on potential deals was a notable highlight.12

Amid these talks, Barcelona faced criticism regarding their financial status while still engaging in major signings, like Anthony Gordon from Newcastle. Concerns about the extremity of transfer fees also surfaced, triggering debates about whether football's financial landscape is sustainable.34

Towards the end, posts emphasized new confirmations of deals including Youri Tielemans to Manchester United and Cucurella to Real Madrid, while Tottenham aimed to secure Sandro Tonali. The intense competition among clubs illustrated a dynamic shift in football transfers, leading to many speculating on the future of top players.56

"Every year we hear stories about how broke Barcelona actually are."

"The English Premier League transfer fees are slowly killing my interest in football."

Real Madrid has successfully signed young talent Yan Diomande in a deal that could reach up to €140 million. This transfer not only highlights Real Madrid's ambition but also showcases their ability to outmanoeuvre other top clubs, such as Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), in the race for this promising player.

Diomande's potential has been widely recognised, and his arrival at the Santiago Bernabéu could set a new record for the club. Real Madrid's late push for the player demonstrates their keen eye for talent and strategic planning in the transfer market.

It became evident that Madrid was willing to make a significant investment to secure Diomande's services, ultimately winning over the competition. This move is not just about acquiring a player; it's about reinforcing their squad with a young star who has the potential to make a lasting impact.

Real Madrid's successful acquisition of Diomande serves as a reminder of their status as a football powerhouse.

Barcelona are exploring a deal to sign Manchester City midfielder Rodri.
Barcelona want to pay €45m and City want over €60m and don't want to lose Rodri.

Imagine paying €80m for Antony Gordon, then offering€ 45m for Rodri with a straight face 🤣

With no European football this season the need to offload players at Chelsea is almost essential.

They want to offload 16 players in 25 days in a bid to reduce their 41-man squad.

This was even more evident after they named 21 substitutes for their recent pre-season friendly with Juventus, with only 5 Academy players amongst that list.

It could be a busy end to the transfer window at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool are set to sign Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo on a season-long loan deal.

They have been in the market for a new central defender after Ibrahima Konate left Anfield at the end of his contract to join Real Madrid as a free agent.

Araujo would tick that box and also provide cover at right-back for Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley, whose knee injury is set to continue sidelining him for the opening months of the 2026-27 season.

Arsenal confirm Bruno Guimarães has joined from Newcastle United on a 4+1 contract. £75m fee.

Guimarães: "This move is very tough because Newcastle means so much to me, but I wanted to experience something new in my life."

Andrea Berta: "Bruno is a player with a great mentality and great quality, who will bring strong leadership to our squad.

"With Bruno joining us, we are further strengthening the heart of our team. As we have all seen, Bruno can play as a defensive midfielder and as a box-to-box player. He combines quality with quantity, and has provided goals and assists for his team every year.

"Bruno will allow Mikel to further develop our playing style and will also increase our internal competitiveness, which is essential for maintaining the standards required when we are aiming to win major trophies."

Nottingham Forest set to sign Ousmane Diomande from Sporting CP.

A deal is being finalised for coveted Sporting CP centre-back at €40m. The 22 year old Ivory Coast international expected to travel tonight and do a medical before joining Nottingham Forest on 5 year contract.

I'm generally more impressed by the signings midtable sides are making than the big 6 this season tbh

Liverpool are set to sign Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo on a season-long loan deal.
Never a good look when a team resorts to that. In addition, the player has apparently had 27 injuries in the past 6 seasons.
