Aston Villa have announced the signing of Nice forward Evan Guessand, with the transfer expected to cost an initial £23.5m.

Man United have confirmed the signing of Benjamin Šeško, after the Slovenian rejected the chance to join the Geordies. He becomes their fourth summer addition after a reported €76.5m deal was agreed with the Bundesliga outfit earlier this week, with United liable to pay a further €8.5m in add-ons.

United have now spent close to £200m on forwards this summer following the arrivals of Wolves' Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.

Al Hilal has officially secured the transfer of Darwin Nunez from Liverpool for a deal reported to be worth around €53 million, potentially escalating to €65 million with performance-related bonuses. This move marks the end of Nunez's three-year tenure at Anfield, where he arrived from Benfica for an initial fee of €75 million in 2022.

Sadly, Darwin Nunez's time at Liverpool won't be classed as a success, but he made a number of vital contributions as Liverpool were crowned champions last season. Just not clinical enough for an elite club.

Everton have agreed a deal to take Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City.

On August 6 that Everton had opened talks with City over a move for the 29-year-old, whose contract at the Etihad Stadium expires in 2027.

Grealish made only 16 starts in all competitions last season and just seven in the Premier League.

Everton will have an option to buy Grealish next summer for £50m, at which point he'd be nearly 31. Can't see that happening. It could work out a good deal for next season, though, for both player and club.
