I'd actually forgotten all about Watch Dogs Legion until I watched that video!

With this weekend's Ubisoft Forward event set to unveil more on Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion (and now probably Far Cry 6) the developer is hosting a massive sale over on its own storefront.

The Ubisoft Forward sale is offering up to 85 per cent off digital PC games from across the developer's entire catalogue. Practically everything you can imagine is reduced, so there are some terrific bargains to be found on multiple entries in the Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and The Division series. You'll have until 20th July when the Ubisoft Forward sale ends to grab something.

What's more, until 13th July, you can also use the voucher code 'UBIFORWARD' to save an extra 20 per cent off your entire basket!

Below are some of the best offers

Assassin's Creed
Far Cry
The Divison
Rainbow Six Siege
Ghost Recon
For Honor
Anno
Meanwhile, Ubisoft is busy giving away stuff for free if that sounds like a better price to you. For starters, you can now get a 7-day free trial to the Uplay+ subscription service. Not bad for trying out a few games for a week. Or, if you log in to your Uplay account during the Ubisoft Forward event this Sunday, remember, as mentioned above, you'll get a copy of Watch Dogs 2 for free.

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

Ubisoft dug into Assassin's Creed Valhalla and showed video clips of the Ubisoft team travelling across Europe to learn more about Vikings and how they lived.

The game tells the tale of Eivor, and players can choose either the male or female version of the character at the start of their quest to leave Norway for England.

For the first (official) time, Ubisoft shared in-game Valhalla footage as the Vikings invade England. The gameplay's combination of weapon combat and stealth looks strikingly similar to its predecessor, the 2018 launch Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Ubisoft said players will need to explore different areas and hunt and forage to "stay sharp." Hidden challenges are also available across the world, and players will also complete several assaults on fortresses.

Of course, this isn't the first time we've seen in-game footage — two lengthy clips leaked online last week, much to Ubisoft's chagrin.

The game will launch on November 17. And like Watch Dogs: Legion, it'll be available with Smart Delivery for those who buy it on Xbox One X.

Far Cry 6

Ubisoft ended its show with a teaser trailer for the long-rumoured Far Cry 6.

The game stars Giancarlo Esposito, who famously played the character Gus Fring in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. The video depicts Esposito's character as a fascist leader trying to teach his son Diego about ruling their country as a revolution rages on outside their castle walls.

The video didn't show any in-game footage, but Ubisoft announced that the game will launch on February 18.

Rainbow Six Siege

Ubisoft played a quick thank you video for Rainbow Six Siege players and said the game now has 60 million players worldwide. The title will continue, and more updates are coming. But exactly what players can expect is unknown.

Hyper Scape

Although Ubisoft already launched an early test of its new urban-based battle royale title Hyper Scape, the company shared a teaser video during the event.

Much of Ubisoft's Hyper Scape discussion recapped some of the game's core features, like the ability to develop special abilities called "hacks." The game also features Twitch integration, so spectators can change a battle's gravity, rules, and other attributes to modify the play experience.

Ubisoft said Hyper Scape is now available as a free-to-play PC title worldwide. But Ubisoft cautioned the game is still in beta.

Tom Clancy Elite Squad

Tom Clancy's Elite Squad is "coming soon," Ubisoft said. It shared a brief teaser showing some of the more popular faces from Tom Clancy titles, including Gabriel Logan, the lead character in the stealth shooter Syphon Filter.

Watch Dogs: Legion

The event kicked off with a short film inspired by the upcoming Watch Dogs: Legion. Ubisoft said the game will tell the story of "ordinary heroes" who want to save the world.

Watch Dogs: Legion takes place after a London terrorist attack and requires players to build a "resistance" that will need to take back the city. Players can choose anyone in the world to take out terrorists. Indeed, Ubisoft said the game will let players "choose the hero." But not every person players choose to build their resistance will be equally capable, so they'll need to choose wisely.

Ubisoft's in-game footage showed players choosing a variety of characters to fight in the resistance and the ability to play missions differently based on the characters' key attributes. The title will come with third-party action and the option to use a variety of weapons and tools strewn across London.

The game is launching on October 29. Microsoft's Xbox chief Phil Spencer said Watch Dogs: Legion will be available with Xbox Series X Smart Delivery, so players who buy the game on Xbox One X will get a free Series X-optimized version on that console when they get it.

Another Ubisoft Forward presentation will be held in September, Ubisoft announced today.

Ubisoft announced during its Q1 earnings call today it will host a second Ubisoft Forward presentation in September.

The previous Ubisoft Forward event was held on July 12. During the presentation, the company announced Far Cry 6, and provided release dates for Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion.

Ubisoft finally revealed more information on the upcoming Immortals Fenyx Rising (previously known as Gods & Monsters), showing off the Greek mythology-inspired world and the gameplay that looks heavily inspired by Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It'll be out on December 3rd on Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Stadia.

The 2003 classic Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is getting a new remake in 2021 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Ubisoft says that it's rebuilt the game from the ground up in its modern Anvil engine and that the remake will feature improved combat and camera controls. It'll be out on January 21st.

Ubisoft is taking extreme sports to an even bigger online audience with Riders Republic, a massive multiplayer game from the creators of Steep, focused on all kinds of adrenaline-pumping activities, including biking, wingsuiting, skiing, snowboarding, and more. The company promises huge maps based on actual GPS data from US national parks and the ability to race against 50 opponents at once. It'll launch on February 25th, 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Google Stadia, and PC.

The adaption of Bryan Lee O'Malley's iconic comic book series is returning a decade after its release (and still unexplained removal from various digital storefronts). It'll be out this holiday season for Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Stadia. It'll include bonus Knives Chau and Wallace Wells character add-ons and the return of the extremely good chiptune soundtrack from Anamanaguchi.

Ubisoft's popular esport shooter is making the jump to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The company promises that it'll support up to 4K and 120fps gameplay by the end of the year, with free next-gen upgrades for existing PS4 and Xbox One owners. The company also announced a new, country-based Rainbow Six Siege World Cup competition and a new season of content based around Splinter Cell's Sam Fisher.

The upcoming Watch Dogs Legion is getting a cameo appearance by popular London rapper Stormzy, who'll be featured in the game with a special "Fall On My Enemies" mission out on October 29th. Additionally, Aidan Pearce — the bland, cap-wearing hero of the first Watch Dogs — is set to return to the franchise as a playable character in an upcoming DLC expansion.

Ubisoft is taking a page from Fortnite's book with a new, limited-time "Turbo Mode" in its Hyper Scape battle royale, which — similar to Epic's Solid Gold mode — puts players in a fast-paced game where all weapons are the maximum rarity. It launches on September 15th.
