The 2021 UEFA Nations League Finals will be the final tournament of the 2020–21 edition of the UEFA Nations League, the second season of the international football competition involving the men's national teams of the 55 member associations of UEFA. The tournament will be held in September or October 2021, and will be contested by the four group winners of Nations League A. The tournament will consist of two semi-finals, a third-place play-off and final to determine the champions of the UEFA Nations League.

England were very poor against Iceland but managed to scrape a victory with a last-minute goal courtesy of a Raheem Sterling penalty. Iceland missed a penalty and both teams ended the game with 10 men.

European Championships and World Cup will still go ahead in their usual two-year cycle, with the normal qualification groups.

This Nations League largely replaces friendlies, but the games are more important as the playoffs (for the WC or Euros), which is our traditional and best route (if we ever get a good enough team to threaten to qualify again), are influenced by this competition.
