I must have been a right daftie, I also thought if something wasn't sold it would become a toilet. Think I was a teenager before I realised it said "For Sale or To Let" 😳
I could have lied about everything because my employer didn't ask for a reference.
I would add the second and third books in the Southern Reach trilogy, especially the second. Annihilation was great but those two didn't come close to my expectations. Totally lost the eerie and unsettling atmosphere that permeated the first.
Another Tolkien disappointment, but this time The Hobbit. It was an enormous letdown for me because I was a huge fan of the LOTR Trilogy and The Hobbit book.
Martin Freeman was great as Bilbo but I've blocked out most of the rest.

The reason I cut it out was to improve my sleep and gain the benefits after reading all the negative impacts of not getting enough of it.
The fact we spend a third of our life asleep leads me to believe it’s a necessity whether we fully understand why or not.

Looking at this list it seems that there is some sort of mass shooting just about every day in the USA, is it just me or is there something seriously wrong with this picture?

I believe given the huge size of the universe that there has to be life out there somewhere, however, the chances of ever coming across it may be remote.
Has anybody got one? I'm looking at getting one but there is so much choice out there.

You would be better just doing Paris for kids that age. There’s more than enough to keep them happy then save up for the big one in 2-3 years time.
Have to agree Florida is way better and much more to do but better when the kids will remember it all.
It's not 'ethical' but if you use it for recipes, or saving any articles, on a tablet you can always screenshot it and then you'll have the image on your tablet to keep even if you leave Kindle Unlimited.

Definitely noticed a difference tonight. It was light when I finished work at 4.30pm and by the time I was home at 4.45pm it was almost pitch black!
I have a Garmin Edge 520 Plus - got it from Speedlab (check out their website), bought speed, cadence sensors and heart rate monitor separately.
It's probably mid-tier Garmin but works perfectly for me - maps, Strava segements etc
I'd be a dreadful dentist or surgeon. I'm squeamish and don't think my hands would be skilled enough to do a good job.
Everything has actually run very smoothly so far. No crashes, no incompatible software. No massives changes yet from Windows 10 but I prefer the look of Windows 11 so far.
I see you are eating porridge every morning. I remember seeing something on tv saying it is amazing for reducing cholesterol.
Still tax-free up to £30k. Obviously also dependant on how many years you've worked there and how much you earn whether you hit the £30k.
Done well to get four weeks a year mind. They offered 2.5 at our place 12 months ago to any volunteers. They were after 2k people and got them (out of a 12k workforce).
I can see this being the cases with many companies and employees. One good thing that has come out of this pandemic is that businesses have discovered the the work can be done effectively from almost any location and there are savings to be made in many cases.
Time does indeed fly by way too fast and sometimes it’s scary.
Who can believe it’s already July?! It will be the Christmas and the end of the year before we know it!
