Anthony Joshua Daniel Dubois fight loss future

The discussion kicks off with Joshua's shocking defeat to Dubois, where many fans express disbelief over his performance. Critics highlight Joshua's form since his losses to Usyk, suggesting that he appeared gun-shy, lacking the aggression needed in the ring. There is a palpable sense of anxiety among the commentators about Joshua's future in the sport, especially considering the multitude of knockdowns he suffered during the fight.12

As the conversation unfolds, opinions diverge on the implications of Joshua's performance. Some argue that this may signal the end of his career, emphasizing the need for him to reassess his approach or contemplate retirement. Others criticize the lack of urgency in his corner, feeling that they should have pulled him from such a one-sided contest earlier.34

The sentiment shifts slightly as fans begin to discuss potential next steps for Joshua. While some believe he may not have the skill set to reclaim his status, others hold out hope for a comeback. Dubois, credited for his impressive performance, raises questions about how Joshua will deal with future matchups against formidable opponents.56

"Dubios destroyed him there. That was a brilliant performance."

"Thought he was going to stage a comeback them ooof."

The promotion, or lack thereof, for Taylor v Lopez this weekend has been an embarrassment. A really difficult fight to call based on their recent performances and whilst I think that the best version of Taylor beats the best version of Lopez that we've seen so far, I can't help but wonder if the gruelling fights and his alleged fondness for the sniff are starting to catch up with him.

Mind having said that he probably looks in the best nick of his entire career whereas he looked like a smackhead on the scales for the Catterall fight.
Taylor is done at an elite level. Really poor in his recent bouts.

I think that may be a bit harsh.

Teofimo was brilliant on the night. I think Taylor changing trainers was a bad move for him and he didn't really have a plan B. That Teo would be pretty hard to beat, however - that was the one in with Loma - not the version we seen against Kambosos and the fights since.

On the Taylor remark, it's easy to look at the Catteral and Lopez fight and think he's done at the top level but I still think he can compete and get back a world title.

Usyk v Dubois confirmed. 26th Aug. Poland.

Finally a fight that's happening - the heavyweight division has become a joke lately.

Can't see it being competitive but I'd like to see Dubios give a good account of himself. I still want Usyk to win.

Those 2 fights being announced pretty much confirms that the Saudi 'super-card' won't be happening this year then. Shock horror

Any credible opponent for Fury tied up for the rest of the year as well, so God knows who he'll be fighting next.

What's everyone's thoughts on the gigantic fight between Crawford and Spence happening tonight?

I just can't pick it, very difficult to separate them.

I think Crawford will win. Obviously, not 100% confident but just think he will find a way, and if he gets Spence in trouble, he might just stop him.

Terence Crawford dominated Errol Spence on Saturday night, scoring three knockdowns and stopping Spence in the ninth round to become undisputed welterweight champion.

That was a massacre. An absolute clinic. He made an elite boxer look very ordinary and poor at times. Best in the world and one of the best of all time. This is the Bud Crawford era.

That was some performance from Crawford he just looked levels above Spence, but fair play to Spence he didn't give up and showed some heart out there.
