In a recent interview with French site Movie and Game, the director of the 2006 movie Silent Hill, Christophe Gans, claimed that there are a number of new games in development. "I'm working with the Silent Team, the original creators at Konami, there are several games in development as we speak, there are several teams on it, with a big line of games, they will revive the franchise, I think they were really impressed [by] the success of the remakes of Resident Evil that are evidently exceptional games," Gans said, praising the recent remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3.

He reiterated that there are apparently "multiple" new games in the works, which is certainly an exciting prospect. As VGC writes, however, there have been a number of rumours circulating in recent months suggesting that there are several new games coming, so it's not known if Gans may simply be repeating these claims rather than delivering 'insider' knowledge.

Sadly for Ubisoft's much-troubled action RPG, it has suffered yet another major setback. As reported by Kotaku, developer Ubisoft Montpellier is undergoing a leadership shakeup and as a result, Ubisoft staff were allegedly informed that their managing director, Guillaume Carmona, is no longer with the studio.

Sources have also informed Kotaku that the developers are struggling to achieve a fun and achievable creative vision for Beyond Good and Evil 2.

I can't help but think that this game may never be released.

Sadly, I don't think this game will ever see the light of day. I thought it was hugely ambitious when they revealed it at E3 in 2017 and it looks like that has proven to be the case.

Capcom released a small patch for the Steam version of Resident Evil 5 that adds local split-screen co-op. This will allow players to play with a friend without both needing their own computer or copy of the game. There is also no longer support for Games for Windows Live on Resident Evil 5.

Local split-screen co-op is quite literally what it says on the title. So long as there are two controllers for both players to play, you will be able to co-op with a friend on the same system. The screen will be smaller as a result, however. This was the method of offline co-op that Resident Evil implemented in the past, such as in the original console iteration of RE5.

Electronic Arts has announced a delay for EA Sports PGA Tour, its first golfing title since Rory McIlroy PGA Tour. Previously set to launch on March 24th, it's now releasing on April 7th, the same week as the Masters Tournament. In a new blog post, the development team revealed that the delay would let it "add a few final touches to the game that we are very excited to deliver to all of you."

In a new blog post shared to Steam, developer Nightdive Studios and publisher Prime Matter have announced that the System Shock remake has been delayed again.

The sci-fi shooter will be delayed until May 30 for those jumping in on PC. As for console players, the remake has been sadly delayed indefinitely, with the statement saying the game will arrive "in due course."

"We had hoped to bring the game to the market by the end of March, but that turned out to be just beyond our reach; we are, after all, merely human (unlike Shodan)."

The statement then follows with a brief transmission from Shodan itself. "You thought you could defeat me, but you were wrong. On 30 May, you will now face the consequences of your actions, as you navigate the treacherous depths of Citadel Station once again."

Microsoft reportedly expects their next Xbox console and the PS6 to release in 2028 according to court documents.

If this information holds true it would mean that the current generation of consoles are expected to last about 8 years total.

In other news, Sony has said it plans on withholding information about the PS6's whereabouts from Activision if the Microsoft buyout goes through.
