"We're making a new Resident Evil," said Resident Evil 7 director Koshi Nakanishi said in the Capcom Next Summer 2024 livestream. "It was really difficult to figure out what to do after 7. CD Projekt Red's Pawel Sasko recently commented on the state of their various projects, including The Witcher 4 (codenamed Project Polaris), saying that it is the "furthest along" despite still being in the early stages of development. ⁠

"Most of those are in early stages," Sasko said of the projects. "The only difference is the Polaris project—so, the new Witcher saga—that will enter production this year. It's the most advanced of all of those."

Lots of details also emerging - including from former employees - about Parsons' spending habits, including building a $2 million vintage car collection and allegedly bragging to employees (some of whom were laid off shortly after) about it.

While no doubt many smaller studios are feeling a genuine financial crunch at the moment, the sickening thing is that many wealthy executives of these bigger studios are still extremely wealthy and rarely have to answer for their mismanagement.

Wow, Game Informer is gone, can't say I'm surprised really, they've been under financial pressure a long time and all their best staff left a long time ago, still sad to see them go, loved reading the website.
