The post raises a relevant concern but lacks specific details and context to fully engage the community. It feels more like a personal reflection than a comprehensive discussion or inquiry.

Quite a radical statement from Boris Johnson there. Very clear in where he wants England to be by the end of the year and how he plans to get there.
  • Public transport will be available to everyone in England from Friday
  • Local authorities will be able to impose their own lockdowns
  • The government's work from home guidance will be scrapped on August 1
  • Sports stadiums and conference events may be reopened in October
Regardless of the handling of the pandemic so far, I think we would all hope that they are able to get there.

Very interesting to see how Nicola Sturgeon responds, as there will no doubt no be a clamour from the media for an outline of a similar plan for here.

He also said that it may be possible to scrap social distancing as early as November.

That seems a bit ambitious tbh, but it's good to not hear constant chat of "new normal" and, instead, an actual desire to get back to normal.

Friday evidently is catch up day for confirmed cases it would seem.

"It'll all be over by Christmas…" - Boris Johnson

Why do politicians make stupid statements like this?

No deaths today in Scotland but cases were 21, quite distributed over the country. A delay in reporting from previous days or a genuine 24-hour increase? I guess it was always going to be the case that significant reopening would lead to some degree of increase in cases and if were real and in the order of the 20 something figures we've seen so far we'll have done really well I think.

Nothing to be immediately concerned about, but worth keeping an eye on over the next week or so.

Hopefully, a timely reminder to everyone to continue to take precautions. Wear face coverings, exercise social distancing, good personal hygiene, be sensible, follow the guidance

Interesting graphs, North America seems to have been following the same trend as Europe until last month, then ?

I think we can also discard the figures for Africa where we've heard very little from about Covid-19.

23 new cases today in Scotland on top of the 21 yesterday.

Looks like there has been a cluster of cases at a call-centre in North Lanarkshire.
