The refs in the NFL are making the Premier League referees look competent this week.

Great win for the Vikings last night but the 49ers will be kicking themselves about those turnovers and for the second week in a row their defense didn't look great.

Chiefs and Eagles looking like the 2 best teams at the minute - neither has been spectacular but they are doing enough to win games.

I know the Lions got well beaten by the Ravens but I still think they could end up the top seed in the NFC. They have a much easier schedule than the 49ers and Eagles.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is in concussion protocol, Sam Darnold is the 49ers' backup quarterback and will start if Purdy is unable to play. The 49ers are still hopeful that Purdy can clear protocol by the game.

A much needed win for Buffalo as they try to keep pace with Miami in the AFC East. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen threw two touchdown passes and rushed for another score in his team's 24-18 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football.

Allen finished with 324 yards passing and one interception to go with his 41 yards rushing as Buffalo advanced to 5-3 on the season. He briefly left the game and had his right shoulder examined in the second quarter.

Buffalo receiver Khalil Shakir had a career-high six catches for 92 yards.

Tampa Bay QB Baker Mayfield finished with 237 yards and two touchdowns as his team fell to 3-4.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes will start against the Broncos despite battling "flu". Snow is falling in Denver.
