Edge rusher Carl Lawson is joining the Jets on a three-year deal reportedly worth up to $47.4 million.

He was the sixth-ranked edge rusher. He finished 2020 with just 5.5 sacks, but his 32 QB hits ranked second to only T.J. Watt. He's never played more than 68 percent of defensive snaps, but considering the money the Jets have invested in him, that could change in New York.

Good signing for the Jets.

Tyrod Taylor has signed with the Texans. So Tyrod is the Deshaun Watson insurance policy in Houston if, as it looks likely, Watson is gone entirely or is still with the team but won't turn up.

The Bills have decided to upgrade their backup quarterback situation, signing former No. 2 overall pick Mitch Trubisky to a one-year contract.

Brandon Beane said he doesn't expect Trubisky to be in Buffalo long term. He thinks this can be a one-year reset for Trubisky and that he'll be starting again somewhere else in the future.

As part of this move, the Bills decided to move on from backup quarterback Matt Barkley, who was a free agent. Trubisky has more ability and experience as a starter than Barkley does. Beane also mentioned his mobility as a plus, because he can run similar RPO concepts that Josh Allen runs.

The Giants are signing wide receiver Kenny Golladay to a four-year, $72 million deal. The deal includes $40 million guaranteed and incentives that can push it to $76 million.

The Broncos are signing cornerback Kyle Fuller to a one-year, $9.5 million deal, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

The Bears tried to trade Fuller but were unsuccessful. A two-time Pro Bowler, Fuller is 29 years old and has not missed a game in six NFL seasons. He previously played for Vic Fangio in Chicago.

Given Fuller's familiarity with Fangio's scheme, this move had to be pretty much a no-brainer for the Broncos. With the addition of Fuller, and Von Miller returning from injury, the Broncos' defense has a chance to be really good in 2021.

The Miami Dolphins are sending the No. 3 pick in the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft to the San Francisco 49ers for the No. 12 pick, a 2021 third-round pick and two future first-round picks.

The two future first-rounders will be in 2022 and 2023.

Eagles traded their sixth to the Dolphins for No. 12 and their 2022 first-round pick. Teams also swapped mid-round picks -- Eagles' pick 156 for No. 123.

Former Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins will sign a one year deal with $5m with $1m incentives with Baltimore Ravens.

Sam Darnold traded to the Panthers. Jets get a 6th this year, 2nd and 4th rounders next year.
