Seems quite quiet in terms of front line changes lately.

Probably a good thing. I'd love to see Ukraine moving forward quicker but it's been costly where they have made progress and they have had some big losses in failed attacks.

Hopefully they are adapting tactics. Cluster munitions aren't a game changer but are apparently ideal for what they face now to clear dug-in Russian defensive lines and armour.

Hopefully they are waiting until the cluster shells are in the country then patience will likely be needed whilst they destroy Russian lines before they advance

Senior U.S. general confirms U.S. cluster munitions have already arrived in Ukraine.

Usually, I'd be dead set against the use of these hateful weapons but hopefully a few days of bombardment from these weapons will have the necessary attitude adjustment on Russian forces to start heading back home.

I don't think Ukraine will settle for anything less than 100% control of its territory including Crimea.

That makes it hard to predict how this war will end. It could end with Putin losing control.

It's absolutely pathetic, that still no one promises to escort the grain ships in international waters even without an agreement. No Turkey, no NATO, no one. After 1.5 years of war, they still fear Putin so much that they can't even promise protection in international waters. Spineless leaders, it's so frustrating. Just watch how they will give in to some of Putin's demands, so the deal continues. And he will prey on that and use this kind of threat again and again to ease more and more sanctions.

If Turkey starts exporting grain from Ukraine, NATO should make it very clear that sinking those ships would mean the sinking of Russia's fleet in the Black Sea as well, and make good on that threat if Russia actually attacked.

We will hear about some interesting developments in the South soon, I guess. It appears that the Ukrainian Army is having a big offensive operation, using some of its reserves to push the Russian troops out of some areas with a lot of armored vehicles. If true, I think the result will show a little bit deeper into how the Southern front is doing since some people have been claiming that there has not been much of a big-scale operation since the first few days of this counteroffensive.

If moderately successful, the Ukrainian Army has been doing it right all along. If not, there could be more questions about their combat capability in the South.

Quite extraordinary that Zakharova can say this with a straight face, this isn't to your average Russian moron who watch and believe everything they watch on TV but to educated and intelligent politicians from Africa.

Most of the communications are for the domestic market and it's own people I guess.

They lift the level of bullshit every day and spew out lies so they can justify and convince Russians all is ok and for the greater good.

I highly doubt the crap she spoke was to convince the African delegates, she just needs to play the Russian games in the media.
