The Independent have quoted Musk as follows:

Trump ally Elon Musk also launched a blistering attack on Mr Zelensky, accusing him of running a "massive graft machine feeding off the dead bodies of Ukrainian soldiers" and claiming – contrary to polling – that "he is despised by the people of Ukraine".

Despicable. Do America want to be the least likeable nation on earth because they are heading in the right direction. I'd love the rest of the world to say "fuck you, we aren't dealing with you in any manner". What an absolute shit show, it is even worse than anyone could have thought possible.

Donald Trump doesn't appear to be backing down from his criticism of Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

In an interview on Fox Radio, he said he "doesn't think he's [Zelenskyy] very important to be at meetings".

"I've been watching for years, and I've been watching him negotiate with no cards. He has no cards. And you get sick of it. You just get sick of it. And I've had it," he said.

"He's been at a meeting for three years, and nothing got done. So, I don't think it's very important to be at meetings, to be honest with you. He makes it very hard to make deals."

Trump has been criticised for leaving Europe and Ukraine out of talks with Moscow on Tuesday, with fears the US may force Kyiv into concessions to strike a deal with Russia.

Other Western leaders have warned Vladimir Putin doesn't have "appetite" for peace, but Trump said in the same interview he believes otherwise.

"He doesn't have to make a deal," he added. "Because if he wanted, he would get the whole country."

When host Brian Kilmeade put it to him that the war is Putin's fault, Trump responded: "I get tired of listening to it, I'll tell you what."

He also described his treasury secretary's trip to Kyiv last week as a "waste of time".

Scott Bessent had gone to explore a deal for the US to access Ukraine's wealth of mineral resources.

"Frankly, I wish he didn't go there, waste all of his time like that," he said.

Seriously, wtf is going on?

Donald Trump has continued his verbal attack on Ukraine and Volodymyr Zelenskyy again today.

The US president spoke on Fox Radio, where he made several sweeping statements to host Brian Kilmeade.

Here are some of the key moments from their conversation:
  • Trump said he doesn't think Zelenskyy is "very important to be in meetings", saying Ukraine's president "makes it very hard to make deals";
  • He also said Ukraine "doesn't have any cards" in talks, but "they play it tough";
  • But Trump said, despite the pair's recent spats, he would "of course" take a call from Zelenskyy;
  • He said French President Emmanuel Macron and Sir Keir Starmer "haven't done anything" to stop the war;
  • Trump insisted that Russia could have been "talked out" of invading Ukraine and that Joe Biden and Zelenskyy said the wrong things to Moscow;
  • He admitted that Russia started the war in Ukraine after suggesting the opposite earlier this week;
  • Trump said he is the only reason talks are taking place and that Putin "doesn't have to make a deal".

You can tell Trump doesn't like Zelenskyy criticising him. I think he's still bitter over getting impeached in 2019, as well as the Biden/Ukraine stuff not helping him win the 2020 election

America are scum. They should just get out of Europe and stay "over the pond"

The Trump administration has asked Ukraine to withdraw an annual resolution condemning Russia's war, and wants to replace it with a toned-down U.S. statement that was perceived as being close to pro-Russian in Kyiv, according to an official and three European diplomats familiar with the plan, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive political situation between nations that have typically acted as partners

The biggest Reverse Uno that Zelenskyy could pull right now is if he were to talk to the EU and they decided to put out a preliminary agreement about the rare earths that would not only be fair but could risk shutting out Trump and his Republicult friends as well.

Nothing better than turning around and saying the US lost out because the EU made a serious offer and Trump was so impotent and weak he can only extort and not make serious offers.

Meanwhile, Putin has also been speaking in Russia and spouting more bullshit.

He said current European leaders are "committed to the Kyiv regime" and cannot "shift" away from this position without losing their face.

Speaking specifically on Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Putin said Russia and the US "want to achieve peace in Ukraine as quickly as possible, and Zelenskyy is preventing this".

He claims the Ukrainian president has "driven himself into a dead end by banning himself from negotiations with Russia".
