Anthony Joshua Daniel Dubois fight loss future

The discussion kicks off with Joshua's shocking defeat to Dubois, where many fans express disbelief over his performance. Critics highlight Joshua's form since his losses to Usyk, suggesting that he appeared gun-shy, lacking the aggression needed in the ring. There is a palpable sense of anxiety among the commentators about Joshua's future in the sport, especially considering the multitude of knockdowns he suffered during the fight.12

As the conversation unfolds, opinions diverge on the implications of Joshua's performance. Some argue that this may signal the end of his career, emphasizing the need for him to reassess his approach or contemplate retirement. Others criticize the lack of urgency in his corner, feeling that they should have pulled him from such a one-sided contest earlier.34

The sentiment shifts slightly as fans begin to discuss potential next steps for Joshua. While some believe he may not have the skill set to reclaim his status, others hold out hope for a comeback. Dubois, credited for his impressive performance, raises questions about how Joshua will deal with future matchups against formidable opponents.56

"Dubios destroyed him there. That was a brilliant performance."

"Thought he was going to stage a comeback them ooof."

Joshua knocks out Helenius in round 7.

Nice KO but christ that was a painful performance. I just don't fancy him against anyone good anymore. You could say he was boxing within himself, and that might be true.
Great KO but I don't think he's getting that far with Wilder. Wilder will pounce on his nerves.

The finish was a bit reminiscent of when he was coming through the ranks. He was primal back then.

The rest wasn't so much.

But you never know, there isn't a better way to go into a fight with Wilder than that finish. Because ultimately that's what he has to do. They're not going to dance 12 rounds.

Nice shot that was but can see Wilder knocking Joshua out. He's too scared now of what's coming at him questioning himself constantly in the corner Ruiz did a number on him and Usyk put the nails in.

Just watched the Usyk v Dubois fight. Some controversy when this shot was called a low blow and Usyk, clearly hurt, was given over 4 minutes to recover.

Good, exciting fight and Dubois troubled Usyk not only with that contentious shot but in moments after that. If the shot was borderline then it's not a farce to have called it low. The referee made a hole for himself by not addressing it at the beginning. That aside, Usyk outboxed Dubois and was leading comfortably on the scorecards. He went into the fire after that and turned the screw to get the KO.

Worryingly for Usyk though his feet slowed and the body shots do have an effect on him.

All the talk will be about the low punch and whether Dubois was robbed or not.

Did you think it was a low blow Tom Tom?

Usyk took the time the ref allocated to him. I don't think it was a low blow, but that doesn't mean Usyk wouldn't have otherwise continued if he had to.

Disappointing that Dubois seems to have a bit have quit in him. He did really well technically tonight. Just ran out of steam and I think confidence he could then land the required shot so he lost heart as a result.

I think Fury would beat Usyk easily enough.

It looked like it caught his cup and hitched his shorts up. Unintentional, borderline but low nonetheless.

Shame that Dubois didn't have the conditioning to win this fight, but he was in with one of the best in the regard. I thought the coverage was very pro-Usyk, Dubios was having more success than was being highlighted with body shots that were clearly hurting him.

Dubios could possibly pick up a title in a few years but he definitely needs to increase his stamina in my opinion.

If all of Dubois glove was above the bottom line of the waist band then that would have been a perfectly placed body shot.

But half his glove is undoubtedly below the waist band so surely that's a low blow, as it's said it doesn't have to be a hit to the groin to be a low blow.

I'm not sure the Dubois-Warren camp have any case for an appeal give it was so borderline.

Usyk does look noticeably susceptible to body shots though and you'd think that between that and Fury using his size on the inside that he'll be able to negate Usyk's movement and force a stoppage.

It was a low blow unintentionally and yet again Dubois mentally checked out of a fight.
